I would hurl words into this darkness and wait for an echo, and if an echo sounded, no matter how faintly, I would send other words to tell, to march, to fight, to create a sense of hunger for life that gnaws in us all.

12 May is ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia International Awareness Day. Dedicated to all those who live in pain, physical and mental.
I care for someone who suffers chronic pain. I see how debilitating it can be and how it saps the very essence of a person. I send my heartfelt wishes to all who suffer. 💙
Viola flowers taken at Melbourne Botanical Gardens.
Let's hope there is a better outcome from the peace talks so all these unnecessary sufferings and destructions will end as soon as possible.
Many thanks for your visit, comments, invites and faves... it is always appreciated..

... ever since editing this image I regret not using my camera here instead of my (then) five year old camera phone ... newer smartphones are noticeably better, but I make it a point keeping my ecological fingerprint as small as possible ... and this now seven year old phone is still working : ))
I have fond memories of that lovely summer day in Überlingen, Lake Constance (Germany) ... so this is just for fun and maybe I can make you smile a bit ; )) 💚

Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park. It reminded me of Yosemite Falls in California as it was so majestic. It rained most of the day as we were headed up North of Banff in search of this park. In retrospect, how lucky was I that we had inclement weather to add to this beautiful waterfall?

... as climate change is becoming more and more evident with more frequent extreme weather events such as heat waves, thunderstorms, drought and flooding - it is high time for more serious efforts!
When you feel weak,
when you need a shoulder to lean on,
a hug to warm you up,
I will be here.
I will be here to remind you of your worth,
to tell you how beautiful life is when you believe in yourself,
when you don't need confirmation from anyone.
I'll be here to help you spread your wings
and fly high, my little butterfly.
I love you, Athena...

...these berries will remain 'ripe for plucking' until it's a bit colder; then the birds (cedar waxwings?) come and within two days have both trees stripped bare....I've seen the results, not the actual feasting.
Today has packed a Fall punch, not a short sleeve t-shirt day....
...maybe the same for some of you, for others you are experiencing glorious Spring budding!
Thank you for stopping by flickr friends....I always appreciate your visits.....Pat...xo Enjoy the weekend!
