Due to the lack of turning facilities at Weymouth, visting steam locomotives heading back to London usually idle at the rear whilst a diesel takes the tour back as far as Southampton.
The returning Dorset Coast Express on 8th August 2019 (1Z84 1635 Weymouth to London Victoria) was no different. However, the diesel, 47802 (out of the picture, in the tunnel) was struggling, so, ex-LNER streamlined A4 Pacific, in its BR guise as 60009 'Union of South Africa', was working hard at the rear as the tour entered Bincombe Tunnel, between Weymouth and Dorchester.

I'm finding the use of Flickr to be more frustrating every day. The site is more suited for the mobile phone/ tablet user who points and shoots. One can post extra images in the comment section. But low and behold. A desktop or laptop user can not see the images posted. I was only able to see these images after using my iPad. I also hate the fact that Flickr adds tags to a new posted image. Like personal information tags. I do not want my suburb posted! Lets see what the New Year brings when the new format is introduced. At the moment it is a pain in the arse to place the image location information on a map. I notice that my annual subscription is due next month. Still $24.95 a year. How nice, change of heart from the rip off price of $49.95. But lets see what Kaos the new Flickr brings.
