Zaadpluizen van een distel.

I love these trees and their bright, fluffy blooms exploding with color. This particular tree was seen at the Cecil B Day Butterfly Center at Callaway Gardens during a recent trip. Nov 2013

Dorm was quickly startled out of bed by a jet-like sound, and we all walked outside to find this. Though we are unsure what the source of the explosion is, it is fair to assume that a gas line is more than likely involved. Nonetheless, this is a night I will never forget.

This is an abstract "rack-the-zoom" photo of a chunk of rock which is covered in mica. Red green and blue lights are reflected off the mica and leave these light-trials as the camera lens is zoomed out during the ~3.2 second exposure exposure.

I posted this image several years ago, but when I came across it again in my birds album, I felt a good Topaz treatment would really bring out that explosion of water drops, and I'm sure I slid enough sliders to qualify this image for Sliders Sunday.

Zooming in on one of many small explosions kicking up rocks and plenty of ash.

Strobist: 3 flashes set to 1/16th power. 1 behind plexi stage the other 2 under. Honl 1/4" grid used on back flash and blue gels applied to all flashes. Dropped a glass globe on a glass full of red liquid and clicked. No sound trigger used, just manually timed.

I came across this massive school of fish so tightly packed that the coral behind was completely hidden. I had to gently wave my hand to move the school a bit to see this beautiful soft coral.

A colourful explosion of colours in one of my small fluid paintings at 31x31cm in size.

Multiexposure shot taken just after Dawn. I love the shape of these trees. You can almost see the energy in its growth.

I think the multi exposure emphasises the way this tree seems to burst out of the ground in its pursuit of life

We can learn something from this tree, I reckon.
