Do you really want to exploit a tragedy or death for your marketing? Ep30
Wait What Really OK Podcast Episode 30 hosted by Business Advisor, Speaker and Author, Loren Weisman, digs in to an opinion and view on the idea of exploitation of tragedies, deaths and the negatives that surround that kind of selfish marketing.
After two recent and very terrible experiences with the online marketing of a local Vero Beach Radio show Host and Real Estate agent, Loren talks about how not everything needs to be marketed and branded. Showing a respect to an event, a death, tragedy or an accident with honor and consideration can do so much more for a brand than trying to exploit it.
Taking a road of either saying nothing on a business page or taking the business out of a post highlights the best type of person and the best type of business.

From Flint, Michigan to the exploitation of indigenous groups and the plight of the displaced, environmental crises can detract from people’s fundamental human rights – including the right to health, livelihood, and security.
How can environmental and human rights organizations better work together to the benefit of all? Rights-based climate change and conservation strategies challenge organizations to determine just who is benefiting, whose voices are being left behind, and how to close the gaps. Creating such strategies will involve closer community and stakeholder engagement to give voice to the marginalized.
Join the Wilson Center on June 22 for a conversation with thought leaders from the environmental community, the public sector, and government on climate change and conservation efforts’ direct and indirect impacts on a wide range of human rights.

The colliery was sunk to exploit the Barnsley seam or “Tophard”, as it known locally. In the 1950s the shafts were deepened to over 1000 yards (920 m) to exploit other seams.
The colliery was closed by British Coal, as the National Coal Board had become, in 1993 and reopened by RJB Mining (now UK Coal) in April 1994, the licence to dig for coal being limited to the Yard seam which is located at a depth of 957 yards (870 m). The colliery was finally closed in April 2003.
Clipstone Colliery has been closed for almost ten years but the Grade II-listed 220ft headstocks remain standing.
