Che wanted to bring about a revolution, which would end all inequalities and exploitation existi.. 0 ~·...uu America and Africa. Hence, he left Cuba in April 1965 for Congo to lead a Guerrilla mission. He returned to Cuba secretly in Dec. 1965, to prepare another Guerrilla force for Bolivia. His plan was to challenge the country's US backed military dictatorship and eventually to instigate a revolutionary movement that would extend throughout Latin America. In the process he wns wounded and captured on October 8, 1SJ67 by CIA trained counter insurgency troops in Bolivia and was held in a school there. murdering him. .
The door of the school opens and Mario Teran, an officer, enters with his M-2 carbine gun and says to Che~ ··sit down." "Why bother? You are anyway going to kill me.'' Che answers calmly. Suddenly a burst of fire and Che crumples. Behind him in the wall next to the door, the bullets have made two bloody holes each as .
big as a fist. Che lies on the tloor in agony. P~rez, another officer, walks over and put a bullet in Che's neck. "A good hole for the formaldehyde," Doctor Abraha1n says to the reporters next day. Now all the officers wanted to fire on the adversary who has so long been invincible. "Okay, but not above the waist," said Perez. So they shoot him on the legs.
