ONU Femmes, en collaboration avec le PNUD et le NDI et avec l'encouragement de la CENI et du Ministère du Genre du Kongo Central, a organisé un atelier les 15 et 16 novembre 2022 pour (i) renforcer les capacités des partis politiques de la province du Kongo Central sur l'intégration du genre au sein de leurs partis et sur la loi sur la parité ; (ii) amener les leaders des partis politiques à s'engager et adopter des stratégies efficaces pour assurer l'inclusion des femmes dans leurs listes électorales ; (iii) aider les parties à développer des mécanismes participatifs concrets pour faciliter l'accès des femmes et des jeunes aux postes de décision.
96 membres de 18 partis politiques provinciaux ont participé à l'atelier engageant, dont les modules ont été dispensés par des experts d'ONU Femmes et du PNUD. Théorie, exercices pratiques, discussions de groupe et construction de scénarios ont abouti au point culminant des deux jours : la signature d'un protocole d'accord par lequel les partis politiques s'engagent à atteindre le seuil de 50% de femmes sur leurs listes électorales ; la mise en place d'un comité de suivi de toutes les forces représentatives du Kongo central, composé de 28 personnes dont 21 hommes et 9 femmes.

UN Women, in collaboration with UNDP and NDI and with the encouragement of the CENI and the Ministry of Gender of Kongo Central, organized a workshop on November 15-16, 2022 to (i) build the capacity of political parties in Kongo Central province on gender mainstreaming within their parties and on the law on parity; (ii) bring political party leaders to commit and adopt effective strategies to ensure the inclusion of women in their electoral lists; (iii) help the parties to develop concrete participatory mechanisms to facilitate the access of women and young people to decision-making positions.
96 members from 18 provincial political parties participated in the engaging workshop, the modules of which were delivered by experts from UN Women and UNDP. Theory, practical exercises, group discussions and construction of scenarios led to the culmination of the two days: the signing of a memorandum of understanding by which the political parties commit to reaching the threshold of 50% women on their lists elections; the establishment of a monitoring committee of all the representative forces of central Kongo, made up of 28 people, including 21 men and 9 women.
