‘Mrs. Shelby’s World Travels’
My grandmother and my great aunt traveled all over the world by themselves, not normally with organized tour groups or through popular travel resorts. They extensively did their research and would often go to people groups and places that the average traveler had never heard of or been to. These two little old ladies could very well be who was mentioned in the Crosby, Stills, and Nash song ‘Marrakesh Express’... “American ladies five foot tall in blue”.
Their traveling days began in the 1950s and continued through the mid 1970s with many nations visited and hundreds of thousands of miles covered. When I began my world travels in 1975 I started by accompanying them and learned many things from their experience.
My grandmother also photographed many thousands of excellent images on 35mm Kodachrome slide film which has withstood the test of time unlike many other films from eighty years ago. Her excellent photos, many of which rival those of National Geographic, have sat in boxes and for the past twenty years have been stored in my closets. I have finally got around to sending many off to have professionally digitized so they can finally be seen and appreciated online. Unfortunately I don’t always have details or information of where every image was taken.

Yes he drives a car, and yes the bike is way too small for him. But check out the motion effects. The back wheel is frozen and sharp. The front wheel is a spinning blur. The background has linear motion blur, and the spraying gravel from the stationary rear wheel follows its own path. I guess 1/30 second was just about perfect.

Here are a couple of ab exercises to do with a partner to keep your training fun and interesting. The High Five sit ups work the central abs, while the scissors and leg circles work the obliques, lower abs and hip flexors which help unify the core for better and stronger kicks and punches.
