We're trying out 3rd Edition Warhammer FRP as a one-night one-shot thing. It's a somewhat strange mix of cards, system-specific dice, and little props of various sorts.
Having encountered a pack of beastmen looting a coach, my roadwarden charges from long range all the way to HTH engagement with their leader and uses her Execution Shot - discharges her pistol at the beastman at point-blank range, then follows up with her longsword in the other hand.
This weird-looking mish-mash of dice is a clean miss with the pistol: two Success results are countered by a Challenge and a Chaos, and two Boons are countered by a Double Bane.
Each year, on the last Sunday of January the Kings Army hold a parade to commemorate the execution of Charles I. The march is along the Mall in London and the parade is on Horseguards Parade. These photos show the participants in 2012.

A Civil War Reprisal
Near here on Nov. 2, 1864 four innocent Confederate prisoners were executed in reprisal for the murder of Union supporter, Robert Graham of Peaks Mill, Franklin Co. All Kentuckians: Elijah Horton of Carter, Thomas Hunt and John Long of Mason, Thornton Lafferty of Pendleton counties. Hunt's body reburied at Maysville, others in the Frankfort Cemetery.

The Ninth Fort.
Constructed in the late 19th century it is a part of the Kaunas Fortress. It was used as a prison and a station for transporting prisoners to labour camps. During the Nazi Occupation the fort was used as a place of execution for Jews.
