In Long Island Sound. The story has it that the British would tie up colonist rebels to the rock during low tide and wait for high tide to silence them. It is an automated lighthouse now. The keepers house is no longer occupied and it is occasionally checked by the Coast Guard. The house was built in the late 1800's
