This was a series of #legodirtytroopers experiments with Ice Fountain Fireworks (birthday cake fireworks) that I did two months ago. I bought one pack to experiment with (one pack contains 4 ice fountains). Each one lasts for approximately 40 seconds. And I was surprised after my first attempt that none of the minifigures doesn't get burned. So now I keep to use my Stormtroopers in my photographs. More information coming on on my Facebook Page.

Dirty effect on the stormtroopers was achieved with the use of

cinnamon powder. Copyright © 2013

www.covarrubias.es/lugares-de-interes/archivo-del-adelant...

Built in 1575, in honor of Doctor Vallés, doctor of Felipe II. It is in the Herrerian style with Renaissance decoration. It was a documentation archive, but in the 18th century it lost its function, since everything was transferred to the Simancas archive. Today it houses the Information and Tourism Office, the Municipal Library and an Exhibition Hall.

It is located in the Burgos town of Covarrubias, in Castilla y León. It was built in the second half of the 16th century and restored in 1963, embedded in the walls, of which from now on it was a north gate and which in turn served as a stirrup. In the middle of the 18th century, the few remains that still remained on that side disappeared.

It is shaped like a stone prism with a rectangular base, three floors with Renaissance windows, a remarkable grille, a large shield in the center and buttresses in the corners and next to the entrance arch. Layout and project are due to Juan de Herrera, execution to Juan de Vallejo, who contributed Plateresque details.

The building, which was declared a historical-artistic monument on July 13, 1961 and currently has the status of Asset of Cultural Interest.

It is also included within the area delimited as a Site of Cultural Interest, in the category of historical complex, of the town.

Declaration Monument: August, 1882

Style: Romanesque, Date of construction: XII-XIII Centuries

Impressive monastery of the Knights Hospitaller, who is on his way to the place where legend runs Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, El Monte de las Animas. The building is dated between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Most striking is the impressive cloister, retaining the four bays, with a collection of styles in its execution, the most surprising. Are typical Romanesque arches, resting on pairs of columns, which are located in the northwest section. Pointed horseshoe arches, which are supported by four columns beams in the northeast section. In the southwest and southeast sections are intersecting arcs, being the union of the two sections, with a double arch, also crisscrossed without column. The church is simple, with a single nave and semicircular apse, the nave closes with pointed barrel vault and the apse with oven vault. Highlights include the two temples attached to the wall at the beginning of the header.

Lancaster, Lancashire, England.

Lancaster castle has stood here since medieval times. There was a castle on this site since 79 AD. The castle has a history of witchcraft trials and executions. It was a prison until 2011. Now it is a museum.

We do know there was once a great Pictish fort at Burghead, built between 2,000 and 1,500 years ago, though little of it remains today. Tradition held that the hollow visible in the corner of the ancient fort held a well.

When the planned town of Burghead was built in 1808, the well was selected as its water source. Excavations the following year revealed a solid rock chamber, with a flight of stone steps leading down.

Theories about the function of the ‘well’ include:

a shrine to Celtic water deities

a place of ritual execution

an early Christian baptristy

a Pictish cult centre, later converted to Christian use

Nickname of Ursula Southeil, she is perhaps the most famous witch; was an English prophetess and sibyl who lived between 1488 and 1561. She wrote numerous prophecies in verse that were deemed accurate for various historical events, such as the London Plague of 1665, the Great Fire of London of 1666, and the execution of Mary Stuart of 1587

Kingdoms of Blue and Red clash in an epic conflict! Widespread war has engulfed both of these lands. Which side will win, and which side will face utter destruction?

Here is my MOC that I built for RebelLUG's Kingdoms At War Collaboration.

I'd like to hear your feedback!

Be sure to check out the collab on Instagram, and on YouTube!

I built a bunch of medieval execution and torture devices back in November for a school project and am showcasing a few of them here. I guess you could say this build is a part one of two, with part two coming in two years or so. Yup, this is my last build for the next two years. I'll say more in my 2021 recap that I'll post soon.

This build was quite fun and the execution methods especially were exciting to design. I'm particularly proud of my stock design and the chopping block.

This is also my entry to the Rogues & Outlaws category of Brickscalibur.

Let me know what you think and have a nice day!

Sam

William the Good, King of Sicily, had the Cathedral built in a short time between 1174 and 1176.

The interior of the cathedral still retains the appearance it had in the twelfth century (apart from the wooden ceiling, which was rebuilt after a fire in 1811).

The layout is basilican with a very vast surface: 102 m long by 40 wide. The walls are almost entirely covered with a golden mosaic measuring a total of 6340 square metres. The general level of these decorations, both in terms of design and execution, is high.

The interior was stunning.

After sitting all day waiting for a crew to become available after Christmas, CSX E803 heads through Walkerton just after midnight on the day after Christmas.

King Bart the Odiferous was royally upset that his well-planned wedding was so terribly interrupted. But there was a bright side to his misfortunes. In the pandemonium of the ruined ceremony, his soldiers had managed to capture a single forester outlaw! What luck! King Bart's favorite pastime was watching the executions, and he certainly wasn't going to miss this one. Unfortunately for the king, the rascally foresters don't take too kindly to their comrades being beheaded, and it seems as if they are about to foil his majesty's well-laid plans once again...

Ryan was kind enough to send Steven and I some of his new Executioner pieces, so obviously we had to build a cool scene with em! ;)

THFAVAGD!

THE EXECUTIONER

Björn had an axe imported from Denmark and decided the execution would take place on a hill on the main route by Pristapar. The district commissioner put a lot of effort into getting Natan's brother to take on the job of executioner.

THE EXECUTION

Friðrik wanted to see the axe, kissed it and said: "This is the blessed tool of justice, which I have earned for my sins. Praise be to God for it". His head was severed in a single blow and the axe remained stuck in the block. Two men were needed to remove it. Friðrik was nineteen years old.

AFTAKAN

With various cells and holdings all across the globe, Aku Corp often find themselves dealing with municipal gangs, whose loyalty is questionable and ulterior motives unknown. Corruption runs deep within these groups, most notoriously inside the Black Lotus, an organization whose reign boasts a sizeable portion of downtown Tokyo. It's use of various businesses as launderers and fronts for black market deals has grown exponentially, catching the eye of local Aku officers.

According to inside sources, the Black Lotus were looking to expand their minature mafia empire, which could most certainly challenge the interests of Aku. Naturally, they sought to eliminate this thorn in their side before it grew into a bushel that could no longer be sheared so easily. The chaos of this new era is far too great to afford any avoidable losses, so therefore the bug is set be squashed under the boot of domination. Power must be asserted, or will otherwise be taken possession of.

With all the heads of the Black Lotus clan rounded up, a ray of eerie red sunlight peeks it's way through the morning smog. As the fog breaks and the sky is revealed, disheveled are each of the former crimelords, now mere shells of men. A small price to pay to avoid what could have been for the Aku Corporation. After all we must be cunning and ruthless in this cruel era; this new World In Darkness.

This is my entry into the world in darkness contest. The schoolyard depicted is that from a concept art piece of the movie Akira.

Execution on Anoat | Dark Times RPG

“Many years ago during the Jedi Purge, Jedi Master Siuz Tregú led a group of clone troopers to the planet of Anoat. Orders were given to scout the dust ball and report any signs of life or movement from the Seps. That day however, was the day clones turned on the scum which were the Jedi and as we all know, they were taken out. Siuz, as the report says, was just the same. Another loose end.”

Here to show you a MOC me and Luca (luca_s_projects) worked on last weekend while I visited and attended DLA. This was built during some free time we had and did quite well. The MOC consists of the clones and Jedi as mentioned above, speeder design built by Luca and some terrain surrounded by a wall of bricks in DBG. Let us know what you think by commenting below. ~ Noah

Marble Arch at night

There were three cell like offices, the first and the last place the prisoners went to. There was a registry office (shown in this picture), where all the prisoners entering and exiting were registered. Then, there was the director’s office. And before executions, their hair was cut so it wouldn’t impede the Guillotine.

THE EXECUTION PLATFORM

A turf rectangular platform with a level top was built. A fence was set up around it with poles and bars nailed between them. A block was placed on top of the platform, covered with a red cloth, but in it there was a narrow chin groove where the condemned were supposed to rest their heads.

AFTOKUPALLURINN

Hlaðinn var ferhyrndur pallur úr torfi, sléttur að ofan, og í kringum hann sett upp girðing með staurum og slár negldar á milli þeirra. Drumbur var lagður á pallinn, hulinn rauðu klæði, en í hann tálgað skarð fyrir hökuna þar sem þau dæmdu áttu að leggjast.

Royal Route: The city has some buildings surviving from the time of the Hanseatic League. Most tourist attractions are located along or near Ulica Długa (Long Street) and Długi Targ (Long Market), a pedestrian thoroughfare surrounded by buildings reconstructed in historical (primarily during the 17th century) style and flanked at both ends by elaborate city gates. This part of the city is sometimes referred to as the Royal Route, since it was once the former path of processions for visiting Kings of Poland.

Prison Tower & Torture Chamber

Originally built as part of the city’s fortifications in the second half of the 14th century, the complex was rebuilt by Antoni Van Obberghen between 1593 and 1604 with the smaller of the two buildings becoming a torture chamber and courthouse while the larger tower became the prison. It was here that executions were carried out until the middle of the 19th century. Damaged during WWII, it has been extensively renovated and how houses the Amber and Torture Museums.

The Golden Gate is a historic Renaissance city gate in Gdańsk, Poland. It is located within the Royal Route, the most prominent part of the historic city center and is one of its most notable tourist attractions. It was created in 1612–14 in place of a 13th-century gothic gate, the Brama Długouliczna. Wikipedia

The virtues of Peace, Freedom, Wealth, Fame, Piety, Justice and Concord are depicted in allegorical statues adorning the balustrade of this gate overlooking ul. Długa. Designed by Flemish architect Abraham van den Blocke, it was built between 1642-44, later destroyed during WWII and not restored until 1997. An inscription on the gate reads, “Small states grow by concord, great ones fall by disagreement.” As you walk through the gate, you are now on ul. Długa (Long Street) - the heart of Gdańsk Old Town.
