Yeah, no surprises here in terms of our costumes this year.
He's so into trains now!
Originally I was going to be a train conductor, but he wasn't too thrilled about wearing his engineer cap, so I decided to wear the same outfit to try to coax him to wear the cap as well. It worked! =P
We went to the Boo at the Zoo day at the San Francisco Zoo....
Although it was a rather overcast day (which accounts for the fact that the photos seem so gray), the zoo was pretty crowded! Lots of cute costumed kids there.

Soldiers of the New York Army National Guard's 152nd Engineer Support Company stand at attention during a transfer of authority ceremony at Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti on October 20, 2025. The company concluded a deployment spanning three countries across East Africa, where they provided critical engineering and construction support to ongoing counterterrorism operations. The deployment marked the unit’s first overseas activation as a company, earning the 152nd its first campaign streamer. Although not assigned to combat, this engineer has seen the horrors of war firsthand as he witnessed his unarmed comrades being picked off by Mississippi sharpshooters while trying to construct a pontoon bridge across the Rappahannock on December 11, 1862, during the battle of Fredericksburg.
Georgia National Guard Soldiers with the Augusta-based 878th Engineer Battalion, 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, conduct route clearance during the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Augusta, Georgia, Sept. 28, 2024. The Georgia National Guard is providing response and recovery support to areas impacted by Hurricane Helene. The Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency (GEMA/HS) is the lead agency.
