Engine 45 covering for Engine 29 while 29 was training at the Academy today. Engine 45 is a 2012 KME.
A speeding fire engine in down town Manhattan. We were sheltering from the rain and experimenting with slow exposures. I preferred this one to more in focus subjects.

So, I'm walking along the South Bank of the Thames and see one of the Ducktour amphibious vehicles ahead of me. It wasn't going particularly qucikly, and I ended up overtaking it.
After a couple of minutes, I looked back to see that it had stopped, and a fireboat was heading towards it, followed by a lifeboat. By the time I retraced my steps to see what was going on, the fireboat had drawn level and was attaching a rope to it, while the lifeboat kept an eye on procedings from a little further away.

Engine 63 carries your basic Engine Company equipment, hoses ranging from 1" booster line up to 5" supply line. Various adapters, appliances and handtools along with a thermal imaging camera and 4 gas detector. An AED and basic first aid bag.

Thomas the tank engine! When I was 6, and I first started making a list of things I wanted to build out of LEGO, this was on the top of it.
In fact, I'm now done that list of goals, and ready to start on the projects I dreamed up at age 7.
I'm 21 and should probably get a job instead. If only Thomas DUPLO parts were made by LEGO about 15 years earlier...
