The main reason Luis came to the auto show was to ogle the Subaru BRZ. Thankfully, he not only got to check it out, but he got to sit in it as well and check under the hood. Needless to say, he was very impressed. The next day, Shadow's (his Subaru WRX) radiator went kaput. I think Shadow is jealous.
Riverside steam ralley
Over 20 full sized steam engines will be colouring the Riverside pastures on this fine April 27th 2014 weekend, including the only surviving Foden-built Showman's engine 'Prospector'. Steam fans will be thrilled with the authentic results and attention to detail our full-size and miniature engine owners uphold.
Well, it is time to prepare engine for be prepared to be lifted into the chassis... Started to remove radiator fan, then it will carry on with AC-pump, steering pump and move the generator. I will also change some gaskets.

Highlighted to the left is the bracket ball fitting which attaches to the cover.
The two circles on the right are mounting holes where the cover attaches to the existing air box. NOTE: Even if your car doesn't have a engine cover it will still have these holes for fitment.

Owned by the South Peace Centennial Museum, this is the oldest engine in our collection. Very few of this small, early model were produced. It came to Heisler AB in 1912 & to the Spirit River/Woking area in 1922 where it was used for threshing & to power a sawmill until the late 1930s. In 1964 it was purchased by Fred Tveter & Arnold Christianson who took it to Valhalla & restored it. In 1967 it moved to the McLean farm near Beaverlodge to form the basis of the first Pioneer Day which led to the establishment of the South Peace Centennial Museum. It was last used in 1998 as the 1999 testing confirmed the boiler unsafe for further operation. The engine is complete & authentic in all detail & the SPCM hopes to eventually raise the $55,000 needed to replace the boiler.
34046 Braunton and 35028 Clan Line pass through Chiswick station at 15:10 on Thursday March 6 2014. En route from London to Alton for The Watercress Line Spring Steam Gala between March 7 and 9. With tenders and respective support coaches.
This unusual steam shunting engine does not have a fire box.It was used by Proctor and Gamble in a volatile environment. The engine has an extra large boiler which would give a couple of hours of running when it was charged from an external steam supply.
It now stands in a field off the A426 in Blaby Leicestershire.
Weather update: April 28th - Kanata, Ontario - Winds seemed to have subsided a bit. We're reported to have had gusts in the range of 90kph (55mph). Roofers will have lots of business replacing shingles. My part of Kanata seems to have been spared any major hit but still some trees knocked over in the neighborhood and certainly quite a few shingles blown off neighborhood roofs.
