My original design for the Wright R-3350 Duplex Cyclone radial engine and its nacelle was rudimentary at best, but the redesign of these engines caused me the most trouble of all the revisions! Some of my more recent radial engine designs moved towards using plates instead of bricks. The B-29 has an elongated engine covering with larger air ducts below the engine. I used an eight-sided parabolic ring as the base for the engine, using 1x2 plates with holders to situate the nacelle plates. I retained the original propeller assembly but changed the chrome boss cap.

A Stanley engine I just got. After removing the light rust on the cross heads and oiling the hell out of everything I hooked it up to air see how functional it was.
It's in good shape for its 90+ years and does not really need much other than a cleaning.
air pressure was about 100 but I was throttling it with a ball valve so I could keep it on the table.
With a little luck I should have this installed in the Neverwas Haul and operational by summer.
After a little research It would appear it was a early engine made for Stanley by the Mason Co.
Almost the entire frame of the engine is brass or bronze.

My 2.5 Liter four cylinder engine. It's totally mind blowing I know.
As for my plans for it. I don't have many. I would like to paint some of the parts white. Maybe add an intake. And if I keep the car long enough I will do a turbocharger. That's not likely to happen though.

Alloy needs a bit of a polish but still turns over smoothly with lots of compression (for a 50cc bike).
Ignition needs sorting out, the wiring is all over the place but I'm hoping for great things from this, they were as fast as any of the FS1Es and AP50s "of the day".

Inspired by Roger Wasley’s recent Land Rover Fire engine images, I have dug into the archives for this shot of the fire tender at Old Buckenham in Norfolk.
The kids were young when we lived in Norfolk. A trip to the airfield was a highlight for them, with the various light aircraft coming and going at close quarters as well as the skydivers jumping in. There was a pleasant cafe and the airfield owner/manager was a thoroughly decent chap.
