The most beautiful wildlfife encounter for me, was to see the "endangered" (IUCN) "Bornean Pygmy Elephant", the smallest Elephant species in the world.

The pygmy elephants of Borneo are baby-faced with oversized ears, plump bellies and tails so long they sometimes drag on the ground as they walk. They are also more gentle-natured than their Asian elephant counterparts.

Here, a whole family was coming for a refreshment to the Kinabatangan river.

Ndlulamitsi (en loo la Mit see), or Ndlula for short, is very identifiable due to her right tusk being curved underneath her trunk. She is also the mother of Vus'Musi (voos MOOS ee), the first one born to this herd, but with a different father than that of any other in the herd.

Taken in sabi sands game reserve, the light was horrible.
