How chemical pollution is threatening our survival
The Book was first published January 1st 1997 under the original title: "Altering Eden : the feminization of nature".
With the world population now exceeding six billion, it may seem strange that scientists are worried about threats to human fertility. Yet dramatic decreases in human sperm counts (a 50% decline since the 1940s) and soaring rates of testicular cancer suggest that there is cause for concern.
Science journalist Deborah Cadbury, here expanding her Emmy-winning Horizon program "Assault on the Male," presents evidence that the widespread use of synthetic chemicals has disrupted our and other animals' natural hormonal systems, in effect flooding them with megadoses of estrogen-like substances that "feminize" males and contribute to breast cancer and myriad other problems.
The list of suspect chemicals is alarming: DES, DDT, PCBs, plastics (used in everything from washing machines to dental sealants and food packaging), even birth-control pills. Traces of these substances have been detected in soil, water, wildlife and humans from around the globe, and have been implicated in such conditions as animal hermaphroditism, impaired sperm quality, microphallus, prostate cancer, endometriosis and even impaired intelligence.
How researchers began to recognize the problem and piece together its clues is a compelling and frightening story, which Cadbury tells with journalistic verve. Though she admits that a definite causal relationship between chemical exposure and reproductive abnormalities has not yet been proven, she finds the evidence compelling. This is a chilling account of industrialization's adverse - and perhaps irreversible - effects.

I took this photo with this exact effect in mind. It just seemed to fit perfectly.

The most important part of Aggregate Demand is Consumption. However consumers do not spend all their income- some is saved. National income can therefore be represented by the equation Y=C+S. As incomes rise so does consumption BUT savings also increase as a proportion of income.
A mans income rises by £100- He spends £80 and saves £20. This first retailer sees his income rise by £80- He spends £64 and saves £16. The second retailer sees his income rise by £64- He spends £41 and saves £10. The third retailer sees income rise by £51.
So in the above example an additional income of £100 causes a rise in spending of £226 after only 4 transactions!

The Droste effect, known in art as an example of mise en abyme, is the effect of a picture recursively appearing within itself, in a place where a similar picture would realistically be expected to appear. This produces a loop which in theory could go on forever, but in practice only continues as far as the image's resolution allows.

#Hypnosis helps one release natural chemical brain tranquilizers. Because stress is thought by many to be a major contributing factor in numerous illnesses, hypnosis practitioners are able to effect positive results by helping people lower blood pressure, heart rate, and anxiety levels.
Hypnosis has also been proven helpful in treating such other stress related conditions as headaches, chronic pain in the neck or back, spastic colon, and cramping from premenstrual syndrome.
Want to #Quit_smoking..#lose_weight...have a better life?
Hypnosis can help!
Your sub-conscious mind is a powerful tool and when given the proper suggestions, will go to work to accomplish the goals you set for it. Even people with serious illnesses can benefit from hypnosis.
Researchers at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio found that people with cancer who used hypnosis while receiving chemotherapy felt more relaxed, better prepared for their treatment and more positive about care than those who didn't use the technique.
Visualization and other relaxation methods may produce significant benefits, often by helping to ease pain and lift depression. Research is continuing to determine whether even more spectacular results can be achieved.

The effect can be felt far away.. far away in the distance..

This gift was given from Annakie to tokomon, read the story of getting the gift in tokomon's own words, below:
"OH MY!
That's not just any box. No sir. No sir not at all. And there's a letter addressed to "Shepard." I'd be remiss not to open it, wouldn't I? Well then... Let's see...
Let's just get the old wallet and a nearby Pinky doll (let's name her Pat for now) to hold things down for us."
