In the mystical realm of possibilities, where the boundaries of reality and chaos intertwine, a fascinating convergence occurred. In this captivating dance between moths and destiny, the butterfly effect unfurled its wings, weaving a tale of interconnectedness.

So I went out my back door to take out the trash and there were over thirty Monarch butterflies in my tiny urban backyard! I thought I had walked into a magical dream.

Thanks for the support, comments and faves. Much appreciated!

"It is nice to think how one can be recklessly lost in a daisy!"

-Anne Morrow Lindbergh

This photo was an accidental shot. But like many mistake photos (in this case, the overexposed settings) I rather liked the effect and learned something. I found the overblown-out daisy petals, with only the yellow centers visible, interesting - as if they were being transported to another dimension.

... ice crystals that melted in the sun turned into perfect spheres of water, forming a strange effect on the leaf !!

It was a surprise for me to see I had captured a photo of this yellow swallowtail butterfly looking at me. The 2nd swallowtail positiioned itself as a mirror image behind the first butterfly. As a bonus, my husband immediately observed the "fairy" woman standing in the background.

Butterfly Effect: (General Physics) the idea, used in chaos theory, that a very small difference in the initial state of a physical system can make a significant difference to the state at some later time.

Photo taken June 22, 2017 in a forest of cedar trees. Canon EOS 1DX, 400mm, f/4, 1/1000, ISO 5000

This shot or manipulation of the shot, I have to admit isnt my idea, I have to thank New Yorkled http://www.flickr.com/photos/new-yorkled/ for suggesting I try this and I must say I quite like how it turned out

Apatura iris belongs to the Nymphalidae family and has a wingspan of 55 - 70 mm. The males have a purple/blue sheen on the upper dsides of their dark brown wings. This effect is caused by iridescence and depends on the angle of view. They are distributed throughout Central Europe and as far east as Korea and China. They can only seldom be seen because they mostly fly over trees and even more seldom sitting on flowers. So I got very lucky to spot this one sitting on the ground feeding on dry ordure.

It's a hand held photography with slow shutter speed when the sun almost going to sink to the horizon.

I am trying something different. I had this idea the other day of combining two effects together to create something a bit more artistic.

Exit one world into another. I have some varying ideas.

Happy Slider Sunday

I saw the rising moon lighting-up the anvil canopy of a distant thunderstorm, and waited until the moon broke free. It created a nice effect.

Thank you for the Favs & Groups 💜💋

The rough wave action is filtered by the narrow gap in the sand to a smooth series of ripples.

I seem to have accidentally spilled in the whole bottle of depression into the mix.

Enjoy a little colour in the midst of the spoopy season. It'll do you good, I swear it.

Photo prise depuis le pont de Arts. J'ai utilisé (pour la première fois) un filtre ND pour avoir une pose longue. J'aime bien l'effet que cela donne à l'eau.

Photograph taken from the Arts bridge. I used (for the first time) a ND filter to have a long exposure. I like the effect it gives to the water.

It is always difficult to focus on a main subject and make the background blurry. If we use big aperture or small F number. The subject will not be completely in focus. That is why we use the focus stuck and combine at least five pictures together. The sun in the background creates special bokeh effect, and the lens type and post processing software create circular effect. I want to have better pictures, but it takes time and effort. Have a wonderful weekend.
