Photo Taken At The Butterfly Effect

A theory that small actions can lead to large changes, positive or negative.

Thank you all so much for your wonderful words, awards, and the group invites. I truly do appreciate them all!♥

A little dark, right? Please, view in large! I was in a store and in the back there was a fence made of thick dark net and the tree trunk and pine needles outside were illuminated by some rays of sun and I decided to take a photo of it. It was very dark inside but I liked the effect of the bright needles and resulted in this abstract image.

This is the Butterfly, a tower that is almost completed in downtown Vancouver. I couldn't get too near it as there was still a construction fence around it. Designed by Bing Thom (now Revery Architecture).

Here is a link to the website, showing what the entire building will look like when completed. westbankcorp.com/body-of-work/the-butterfly

"A ripple effect occurs when an initial disturbance to a system propagates outward to disturb an increasingly larger portion of the system, like ripples expanding across the water when an object is dropped into it."

This is not just a duck in a pond at sunset. It is a symbol of a phenomenon that we have all experienced directly in 2020. At one level the COVID-19 virus spread from one part of the world to everywhere very quickly like ripples on a pond. But not just the virus. The follow on effects of lock downs, loss of freedoms, jobs, security, pressure on medical systems, collapsing economies, all point to the ripple effect.

But ripple effects are not all bad either. In fact the same principle can lead to rapid solutions and even the healing of the world's woes. If we can find a way to create positive solutions to enhance the eco-system of our planet things can get better. But the choice is ours.

The Ochers, you hear about them whenever the Luberon is discussed,

but one can never imagine the effect of this natural phenomenon in real life!

First used normal oil painting effect at 70%. Had planned to crop, but really enjoyed the surrounding foliage so decided against it. Finished by enclosing in the film strip 6 frame, which also darkened some of the photo corners. Located in my neighbor K’s rose garden.

How cool is this: in 2 hours you can go from Brussels to London! And of course you are already in the center, not far away at an airport, waiting for your luggage ...

I took the opportunity for a business trip extension and had a long weekend in London.

Thanks to Finntasia for the title.

Re-post of an earlier photo. Kind of what I did before but I added the Adamski Effect and it turned out a little better

I have not a clue why this [the stripes] happened to two pinholes in two different can cameras in two different rooms.

But why is chaos sometimes so beautiful?

And perhaps even necessary?

The Labrador Effect

Back to my post from yesterday for HSoS.

First of all, I would like to thank all the lovely Flickrities for the wonderful comments on yesterday's topic - title wanted - , everyone could have been right.

In my tags I announced that there would be a second photo, actually I should have posted it the other way around, but then the story would be a lie :)

On an autumn walk I suddenly heard a noise and it was anything but heavenly. The little rascal growled violently and it sounded like this: "Don't dare to come closer, or my huge friend will hug you" :-) and indeed, there he was! I then went on quickly ;-))

Can you see it? It wasn't predictable, the Labrador Effect ;-)))

Thanks for visiting and time to watch, happy Sunday , stay healthy, all!

PS

The two dogs are very happy and live and guard on a small horse farm, with adjoining small pond, a paradise for anglers. I'm only sad myself because I couldn't stroke them.

Take a moment to reflect about this: every action you have done, every step you have taken has led you to this point... It's beautiful chaos, isn't it? This theory is what they call "The Butterfly Effect."

The idea that even the small actions you do, have an effect on your life in ways we can't even imagine. So, close your eyes and realize the power you hold in your hands... Every selection, every moment adds to the storyline of your existence. Take a moment to contemplate on the beauty of it all.

This is a merged image of 3 sets of HDR. Since the low fog changed rapidly and HDR can present its 3D effect. Lake Kawaguchi Bridge is showing in the fog.

拍攝富士山雲海時,發現HDR比較能呈現雲海立體的感覺,所以拍攝了三組各七張的相片,組合成這張全景,下面若隱若現的是河口湖大橋。

The human being is the real pandemic ?!
