Lake-effect snow is produced in the winter when cold, Arctic winds move across long expanses of warmer lake water, creating energy and picking up water vapor which freezes and is deposited on the shores.
Sometimes, I think this can happen with our warm hearts as well when those cold winds blow. I hope and pray that I can keep my heart warm with the thoughts of all my beautiful flickr friends.
Love,
Billy
Four off-white horses inhabit a very old farm I visited recently. Seeing them all together is a treat, at least to me as I used to have an old Welsh pony-Quarter horse who was similar in color. Getting these four to stay in a nice neat bunch for photographing is another matter!
This photo didn't have much of an impact so I took the liberty of adding a watercolor effect. Horse-lovers know that horses can be dreamy and subtle just like watercolors, at least when they're not headed back towards the barn and their grain... :)

Personal number plates are more than just a way for your car to be identified. Your number plates can actually say a lot about you and your personality. Create your very own personalized number plate with any text you like. You can also choose between five different colors for the car.
I was trying to take a pic, couldn't understand why the camera couldn't focus. I thought my viewfinder was cover with steam, but then I realized it was the lens that was steamed. I just got home from work with horrible running nose, wasn't thinking straight... rather liked the effect and having a cold couldn't be bothered with another photo - so you have to excuse me ;-)

Here is a guitar effect and drone synth thinggy i've been working on. It is build in a slendertone muscle workout device. I posted the guitar effect in use on a video some time ago. I added a pitchtracker to that and a vco. The vco can be used when there is not a guitar etc. pluged so it can make sounds by itself.
It is hell of fun. For some reason i always get a similar sound than in the beastie boys track intergalatic when i use the vco.
Meh! Like to play around sometimes and do a silly shot. This was a shot of a little old school. When edited with the "rotating mirror" effect, warped into what looks like one tiny steeple. Interesting....
Among many silly 'funny' effects in this app, I found this quite usable.
Pho.to Lab is the first 'cloud' app I'm trying - nothing is processed on the phone, everything is sent to a server and returned ready. The downside is, they keep filesizes (i.e. resolutions) smaller, and despite that - even with 3G and HSDPA it's a bit slow(ish). (But with WiFi it's fast like a local app).

Chinese version of Facebook Effect. I didn't finish it yet. But I hate the cover design. Original English title has a wonderful design. No idea why a huge jelly fish there. Means Facebook is toxic or dangerous?

Honestly I wish I did something more creative with the blue light. Next time running it through the windows rolled down! Maybe! I won't do the rainbow again.

Simon Pummell’s project focuses on Daniel Paul Schreber, a patient of Sigmund Freud who became world-famous for his autobiography on insanity and schizophrenia (1903). In the media installation The Sputnik Effect, the visitor wearing 3D glasses becomes increasingly entangled in the schizophrenic world of Daniel Paul Schreber. The title refers to the effect observed in 1951, when, a few days after the launch of this first satellite, a large number of psychiatric patients believed they were receiving messages from the Sputnik PS-1.
www.axecess.com/ | There are men who spoon, fork and do the cradle of love with one lady - night after night after night….. and already AXE men are bored to tears by this sentence (yawn). You see, we AXE Men don’t do the cradle of love and we definitely don’t do any cutlery positions. We also believe that two is better than one and that the more is always the merrier. We just have so much love to give and it feels wrong to direct so much love towards just one lady. I mean, a lady must surely feel overwhelmed at the prospect of receiving so much love. And because we are gentlemen, we always do our utmost best to lighten a lady’s load. We do this by allowing her to bring a friend, a helping hand.
