we all have at least one....a place where you can go, where the light is just right and the feeling of being there replenishes your soul. i walk by this place almost every day while taking my girls for their required energy release. sometimes it's in the early morning, sometimes afternoon, sometimes in the night. while i always feel something here, this spot really caught my eye only recently as the winter season causes the sunrise to come from a completely different place than other times of the year. it's not always a pleasure walking the girls....but then there are times when my soul gets filled to overflowing.

Interrupting my uploads from March's London Flickr photowalk as I've run out of uploaded photos....... This is an abstract shot of 'Now Trending', next to the Now Building on the Tottenham Court Road. This is the smaller of the two spaces covered in LCD screens which show digital art installations. I always pop by if I'm in the area as it's a great source for eyecatching images.
By the way, the next London Flickr Group photowalk is being held on Saturday 24th June, more details here if that sounds something you'd be interested : www.flickr.com/groups/londonflickrgroup/discuss/721577219...

In this one i got a perfect drop and a kind of collision. I really like this composition. :o)
By request, a quick explanation about the technique.
First of all, i decide what would be the background. Then i print it as large as possible and put just behind the recipient of water, up side down.
I adjust the focus with a little syringe on the top of the recipient. ( even using f.22, with macro lens, it´s hard to enlarge the focus area, and i have to do this very carefully in the way not to touch the camera after this )
I use an infrared system to shoot the flashes at the right moment the drop falls in the water. In a dark room, i left the camera open for 1 or 2 seconds and i throw the drops. To get a really nice shot, the drop has to fall at the right place a made the focus. That´s why my pictures are sharp. Making an average, I could say that i have to shoot about 300 times to get a picture that surprises me. My secret is patience and persistence. :o)

I would love to think that I caught a shooting star here, but it’s just a plane watching all this from up above.
Somewhere in Manitoba (September 2, 2019)
I suspect there will be a few who having briefly viewed this will think 'another Short Eared Owl' eyes at the camera shot
It's in fact a Hen Harrier but nevertheless there are similarities with the owl., even in the way they hunt

I am very passionate with the beauty of trees & this one really caught my eye with its serene
surroundings & the beginning of spring! We are very fortunate to have this spacious, open
land, right in the middle of the city.
Una goccia di acqua catturata al volo. Un altro bel titolo potrebbe essere parafrasando Camilleri ... La forma dell'acqua....
Experimenting drops photography I captured this eye-like falling drop....I hope you like it :)

A woman walking past an eyecatching mural of a neon pink teddy on a shuttered shopfront on Brick Lane.
The use of colour is very reminiscent of the work of David Speed but I've only seen him paint portraits of women. Having just checked his Instagram account it does seem he is occasionally inspired by other subjects but I'm not convinced this has the subtlety of his work.

Update : To answer my own question, I've just realised that the tag on righhand side of the image is actually for the artist LUAP..... www.instagram.com/luap/
A full-frame, eye-level shot of a young lion, Panthera leo, walking through the golden light of the African bush. The low angle captures the animal's focused expression and powerful stance, while the lush green and dry, yellow foliage frame the scene, capturing a moment of quiet movement in its natural habitat in Chobe.
