Wax, metal, heat, & rust make this texture. The art department uses these sheets of metal to put out fires on burning wax. The texture created is absolute art!

Photographed while walking through hall joining Kentucky Derby Museum to trackside at Churchill Downs
His dewlap was especially eyecatching with the morning sun shining through. It was resting atop a birdhouse in Montell, Uvalde County, Texas.
Also known as the Golden Poison Frog or the Golden Poison Arrow Frog. Known to be the post poisonous animal on the planet. They have enough toxin at any one time to kill up to humans, or 2 African Bull Elephants. Best to stay away!

Interrupting my uploads from March's London Flickr photowalk as I've run out of uploaded photos....... This is a shot of the kaleidoscopic 'Now Building', next to Centrepoint on the Tottenham Court Road. Essentially a large space covered in LCD screens which show digital art installations. I always try to pop by if I'm in the area as it's a great source for eyecatching images.
By the way, the next London Flickr Group photowalk is being held on Saturday 24th June, more details here if that sounds something you'd be interested : www.flickr.com/groups/londonflickrgroup/discuss/721577219...

Celosia argentea var. spicata - A tall, upright plant with reddish purple and with some dark green, lanceolate leaves that are smooth textured. There were eye-catching, dark-pink, soft-pink flowers growing on spikes. This plant was at a friend's home in Carmel, New York.

Greetings from London with the eye-catching geometry of the ceiling of the Bentall modern shopping complex in Kingston, suburban London.
Hope to catch up with contacts' photos in good time.
This was shot under the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas where they have this lavish aquarium. It's really gorgeous and dreamy under there, as you can tell. This area has all kinds of sharks and other wild-lookin' things that were swimming all around me.
I was fortunate enough to take a private tour of the place thanks to the nice people at the MGM/Mirage management company, who also owns the Mandalay Bay. That allowed me to take the time I needed to set up this 5-exposure HDR shot without tourists getting in the way.
One time I did find a nurse shark in the Caribbean. It was a baby. I followed it for a while until it occurred to me that it might be swimming back to its mom. That sudden realization made me turn around pretty quick.
All of this underwater stuff reminds me of watching those Discovery channel shows about strange ocean creatures. I swear I could watch those things all day. I can't get over how some of these things have evolved to fit their environment... just amazing. My favorite creatures are cephalopods ... I never get tired of those documentaries!

Im Jahre 1963, am 23. April, brachte der gerade anwesende Zirkus seine Elefanten zum Trinken an den Neptunbrunnen vor dem Rathaus - siehe Bild.
I think trees are fantabulous, this is one of them. Wishing everyone a fabulous, sun-filled day, enjoy =)
The sun was shining through the trees here but it was also reflecting in the lake, giving the impression of two suns.
In the heart of the relatively small, but immensely wild, rugged and diverse Cadini Group, on our way towards Forcella della Neve.
Unfortunattely, the weather wasn't on our side and rain and fog were our constant companions. Fortunattely, the harsh Dolomite rocks also cut a fine figure viewed from up close instead of the more distant, panoramic insights.
And no, the martial pose of my little, blue, fellow hiker wasn't staged, I have no clue how and why it happend in this moment. I have only noticed it at home and quite liked it as a small, eyecatching element.
