First-year students in Benjamin Fehl's EDSGN 130 Architectural Graphics and CAD course were charged with identifying the best location for a transportation rail hub on campus and designing a train station on the site. The team included Tyler Jani, William Manning, Han Sung Kim, Richard Knouff and Blaine Pricard.

First-year students in Benjamin Fehl's EDSGN 130 Architectural Graphics and CAD course were charged with identifying the best location for a transportation rail hub on campus and designing a train station on the site. The team included Tyler Jani, William Manning, Han Sung Kim, Richard Knouff and Blaine Pricard.
This lighthouse with legs, sits on the beach and is known as the "Low Lighthouse." Built in 1832, it was inactive from 1969-93, but is now the only active lighthouse at Burnham-On-Sea. It was re-activated at the same time the "High Lighthouse" was inactivated.
At Montesiepi there is a small rounded sanctuary where the famous "Sword in the stone" is kept.
The sanctuary is said to be constructed by Templars and also it is said to be an enigma for those who are looking for the Holy Grail. At the top of the wall of the building there are small rounded holes... the sunrays in a precise day of the year (do not remember which) pass through the holes and cross in a point where something (I don't remember what) should be revealed...
Also the story about the sword is strange... in the room where the frescos are there is a box covered with a red cloth... if you lift it you will see (bleah! I did it!) ... you will see two arm and hands in bones... I thought htey were pieces of the saint... I was wrong. The saint had three guys that were jealous of his success (making miracles and so on..). Once the saint went to Rome for business... the three guys decided to sabotage the sword by removing it from the rock. Whene they went there it was impossible to remove it, so pushing and pulling they broke it. Suddenly the sky turned black.. one man died by a lighting, another was killed by the river and the third was attacked by a wolf (heard before eh?)... at that moment the saint arrived and the wolf seated at his feet and the guy had his life saved... until now everything is normal... but... here comes the strange thing. The guy who survived devoted his life to the saint and... cut his arms (brrr....) and started to live at the cloister having always the arms hanging from his belt. Now... apart the violence of thestory I ask myself... let's say that one can cut himself an arm... but how can he cut himself the other??? And again ... let's say he could cut himself two arm... how could he tie them to the belt... I suppose every morning... or was he sleeping with those arms hanging? Anyway the arms I saw are the arms of the envious man...

Our MEng students spend the entire second semester of their third year working on a group design and business project. Halfway through the project they pitch their ideas at our Dragons' Den style event, where they receive feedback on their business plan from our Industrial Advisory Board. The teams then develop their projects further before showcasing their final prototypes at the Design Exhibition.

Villdurra (Sorghum halepense) er som navnet tilsier den varianten av dyrket durra. Durra (Sorghum bicolor) er dyrket i flere tusen år som fór og matplante.
Villdurra vokser i Sør-Spania og rundt store deler av Middelhavet. Den former store tuer eller kolonier og kn bli opptil 1,5 mter høy. De karakteristiske røde utstående aksene sitter øverst på lange opprette stengler. Bladene, opptil en halv meter lange er sverdformete og har tydelig hvit midtribb.
Villdurra tåler varme og tørke og er et vakkert syn om sommeren i Sør-Spania når mange andre gress og blomsterarter har visnet.
