This is a diagram I developed for the paper I am giving at the VET E-portfolios Showcase Symposium 2009 - learning for life, in Melbourne (http://www.flexiblelearning.net.au/content/e-portfolios-showcase). It is intended as an overview which catches the dynamic interconnections that ePortfolios potentially can offer, which maximise the effectiveness of the learning process.

Churches tend to have dim light and very high dynamic range between the dim parts (such as on the right) and the bright parts (such as on the left). So I took this shot with the in-camera HDR set to maximum in order to get reasonable detail in both without requiring complex post processing. No tripods allowed, but I don't think a gorillapod counts as a tripod. I sat the camera on the gorillapod on the balustrade and fired the shutter remotely. I didn't go for minimum (best resolution) ISO because that caused too much blur and ghosting in the people. I'm impressed with the result. The richly coloured detail of the inlaid poished onyx was only dimly and partiallly visible to my eyes.
Well, the rain storm outside was so heavy that visibility was limited to about 100 metres. We were trapped in the cathedral by the rain storm for more than an hour.
