The Buddhist temple at the mountains looked spectacular despite the wind.

Symphony of a Dying Sky. The Spree cuts through the heart of Berlin like a ribbon of deep jade, indomitable and quiet, while the city below surrenders to the encroaching shadows. From this high vantage point, the urban labyrinth feels frozen in time, a collection of stone monuments and winding paths caught between the stillness of the earth and the violent awakening of the atmosphere. Below, excursion boats glide silently across the dark waters, carrying souls unaware of the theatrical madness unfolding directly above their heads, leaving soft white wakes that dissolve into the cold depths.

Suddenly, the heavens fracture into a bombastic display of fire and blood, as if an ancient alchemist had spilled his glowing cauldrons across the horizon. The clouds are no longer mere vapor; they have become a churning ocean of amber, crimson, and deep obsidian, casting a dramatic, almost apocalyptic light over the capital. It is a fleeting, fairytale moment where the boundary between reality and myth blurs, leaving the spectator breathless before a city trapped beneath a sky that refuses to die in silence. The unmade

The “eternal city” theme totally came to mind as I watched the light chase away and overcome the dark, stormy skies here on Maui. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (John 1:5 NLT) I believe in an eternal city in heaven, “For he was waiting expectantly and confidently, looking to the city which has foundations, an eternal, heavenly city, whose architect and builder is God.” (Hebrews 11:10 AMP) Even looks to me like there is some dark looking force, dragon like creature in the lower left hand side of the photo. I see a head with ear, eye, nose and mouth pointed to the right. But maybe that's just my over imagination when it comes to cloudscapes. Ho voluto accentuare il contrasto tra la pesantezza del cielo e le tonalità calde della barca. Una scena apparentemente semplice, ma dove materia colori e atmosfera raccontano il passare del tempo.

It was a great scenery with beautiful light and a dramatic sky, but I had no camera at hand. So I used my cellphone to capture this scenery.

I ventured down to Barton on Sea yesterday as there are quite a few pathways further up from the rocks where you can shoot from in relative safety.

I went for some grey moody photos but the sky had other ideas and a beautiful sunset unfolded.

However it was challenging, the horizontal winds were relentless and I was faced with the usual challenges. I had my tripod down low and was wiping my lens constantly, it wasn't actually raining but there was seaspray flying everywhere. There was a beautiful dramatic afterglow but unfortunately most of the shots by that point were either cloudy or just not sharp enough. I will revisit them in a few days, but I think most of them will have to go!.

The eagle, frozen over the city under the heavy sky, turns here not just into a sculpture, but into the image of a silent force.

Moorlandschaft in Grautönen

In Patagonia it pays to keep one eye on the clouds because the combination of wind and mountains makes for some spectacular cloud formations. I saw these marvellous Altocumulus Standing Lenticular (ACSL) clouds near Lago Amarga, Torres del Paine National Park. As the wind rushes over the mountains, it undulates, forming stacks of standing waves over, and in the lee of the mountains. Air rises on one side of a standing wave, condensing water vapor into laminar, layered formations like this
