Painting is an illusion, a piece of magic, so what you see is not what you see
Fiddled about with the original shot a fair bit (by my standards), and ended up with this uber-dramatic skyscape that I thought almost apocalyptic - but the sun's rays cast radiance across an otherwise gloomy sky.
my first upload with my new camera!! i recently recieved a Sony Alpha 390 from my uncle and it's incredible! i can't stop taking photos :D

Remastered Series.
Another Freak Picturesque Nebraska July Thunderstorm. A True Photographic Storm Monster. Wicked good striations, and the scuds on the bottom of the outflow line looked like teeth.
Another Classic Outflow Dominate Nebraska Thunderstorm! 2011 Month of July has simply been over the top for storm photography. This was one of my best sets for the year.
Just to note...
My old Nikon D50 had some major issues.
Internal Lens was dirty.
It had been knocked over by the wind several times.
Had some permanent internal flares.
Tons of noise in the original captures. A few are little blurry due to the 45-50+ mph outflow winds. I couldn't keep the camera steady. Every pic here was worth it though!
It took long time to rework these images....

Enhancing Unity/Harmony (using this glass Chess game) by converting it to Black and White. Slight adjustments in LR, used a shallow depth of field to give a sense of standing together against a foe.

Colour version of my previous upload (see comments) with the sky significantly softened to draw more attention to the beach. As before, opinions on this welcomed and very much appreciated - thanks for looking ;o)
Another panorama of the storm that rolled in during the sunset, shot from a different location just down the road.
I was planning on shooting the western sky, but the wind was coming from the west and it was bringing some rain with it. Luckily the sky to the east looked awesome too, so I shot that direction while trying to shield my camera from the rain with my body.
