I told her the line was so long they would run out of ice cream before our turn.

I love this kid.

Another from my outing along Crystal Creek at Hiawatha Highlands last week. This one had some real dramatic light peaking through the trees, highlighting some of the rapids along the creek.

This week in SSC:

"Dramatic Picture" (From Mirriam Webster: striking in appearance or effect.)

I had a little drama to go along with my "Dramatic" photo. :) It was a gorgeous sunny day Tuesday. We decided to hike to nearby "Dickerson Creek Waterfall." I checked to make sure I had everything I needed: camera, extra lens, SD card, ND filter, fully charged battery, and my tripod. When I got up to the falls I realized that I forgot one very important thing... my tripod adapter! :-O So my plan of long exposure photos wasn't going to happen. Luckily there was a railing I was able to lean on for this shot.

A edit capturing Connor's elegant stride, as he enters as his enclosure for a new zoo day.

A little more post processing than I usually do; I tried to convey Connor's gracefulness and confidence. Hope you like it!

This building dramatic main lobby contains a translucent waterfall. The residencies offered here are of one to three bedroom floor plans.

Its name should not be confused at all with Murano at Portofino, Murano Grande at Portofino, or Portofino Tower, all also of Miami Beach.

There is an oversized pool and sundeck that overlooks the Miami Beach Marina, a popular docking place for multi-million dollar yachts.

PixQuote:

"Using a camera appeases the anxiety which the work-driven feel about not working when they are on vacation and supposed to be having fun. They have something to do that is like a friendly imitation of work: they can take pictures."

-Susan Sontag

PixNote:

In 1988, UNESCO embedded the Parc national des Grands-Jardins within the World Biosphere Reserve in Charlevoix, confirming its international position as a vital element in the conservation of the biodiversity of this exceptional site. Two major forest fires have since devastated the Grands-Jardins forest, one in 1991 and another in 1999. Although these events initially appear to be dramatic, they are nevertheless beneficial for a number of animal species. Contrary to what most people would think, the post-fire ecosystem is dynamic, and this gives the Parc national des Grands-Jardins territory its special nature. (Ref: SEPAQ)

This is the view from my balcony aboard Cunard's Queen Anne. Iceland is a beautiful island country, absolutely covered by old volcanic mountains and lava fields.
