A brilliant bolt of lighting, emanating from the ominous dark clouds of a severe thunderstorm, strikes a field near Olustee, Oklahoma. The unusual green color of the clouds is due to hail inside the storm.
I am just back from a photography adventure, we had amazing weather, the only place where we got rain was at sunset at the north rim of the grand canyon.
Storm clouds, Rainbow and warm sunlight at sunset all came together to create this dramatic scene at the Cape Royal viewpoint on the North Rim of Grand Canyon national Park in Arizona

At Kurnell, near Cronulla on the east coast of NSW - an overcast day with a big surf running. This isn't one of the big waves, but I liked the drama and the colour.

Photo taken of Boscombe Pier a few weeks ago during the storms we had at that time. I was holding onto the wall in front of me at the time as the winds were so strong. Thankfully with Spring now here the weather is getting gradually better
I took this picture in 2013 in the World Financial Center of Shanghai. This picture provides me with a strange feeling of powerness.
At this time I was still shooting with a hybrid camera (Sony Nex), that's how I started to be passionate about photography. I now have a Nikon D5300 and I'm trying to improve myself by finding some inspirational pictures on FlickR.

Took this one in the early morning light using the flash on my phone as a back light. I was using my kit lens but mounted backward with an adapter. Had no idea there was so much interesting texture on the inside of a snail shell.

Aurora over Perthshire on the 12th-13th September
Only a few nights ago we were treated to a fantastic light show over these dark hills. I've many other pictures that show even stronger aurora, with more pink pillars across the skyline; however this one probably works best as an overall memory of the evening to me.
