I couldn't chase this storm because it developed far north of my location and was moving away at high speed. The best you can do then, is just to watch and enjoy the show from a distance.....

The light on the East Bay hills was unique on this evening and it almost looks like snow covered peaks in the background.

I have not taken any photos for a very long time but went to Wales recently and I was insipred again : ) Hope you are all keeping well.

This is a night time view that I took on the North Cornwall coast, looking from Trevelgue Head at Porth towards the distant lights of Newquay. I remember it being very difficult to keep everything still in the strong breeze and I couldn't really see much either.

Sunset behind a distant windfarm, the best I could do with the lens I had with me at the time.

I set out to see a snowy owl on the Waterville Plateau (Eastern Washington) and I saw one. Far, far away... but I still saw one.

I talked to a couple other guys who were also crisscrossing the countryside looking for owls and they said they found a few more, but none that were any closer than this one.

Stonechat??. Been going though all stonechat images and the markings on the bird dont match up. The white collar and markings seem a little different. Could be this be a lost Siberian stonechat ?
