"Swan Display - Triptych" by Patti Deters. A Trumpeter Swan (Cygnus buccinator) shows off the beauty and grace of his wings and feathers as he settles in the water. These great white birds are one of the most beautiful and graceful water birds to be found in Minnesota. This triptych is the same bird in different stages of display (where they show off their wings by flapping and splashing around). A splatter texture has been applied for a high key, minimal, and artistic effect. Each image in this triptych is also available individually by going to the links below. If you like this image, I invite you to please share or see my main image gallery (avian, wildlife, and more) at patti-deters.pixels.com/featured/swan-display-triptych-pa....

At Mystic Seaport, the Sabino, a famous tourist attraction,

is having some repairs.

As quoted from

NEW BOILER

"The Sabino‘s old boiler was installed around 1940 and was manufactured by the Almy Water-Tube Boiler Company of Providence, RI. It was the vessel’s third one since she was first launched in 1908 and powered the steamboat for nearly three-quarters of her life on the water, including during passenger service in Maine, a private attraction in Massachusetts, and finally more than forty years on the Mystic River. It has now been placed on display in the lobby of the Thompson Exhibition Building."

I didn't have a lightning trigger, so my method to catch the lightning was to just stand there with the focus on infinity and just click away. I could click 500-1000 photos at one stop. Having a UHS-II class 10 card helped with the rapid fire clicking.

I now own a lightning trigger called Pluto.

I guess this is a good way to make an attractive window display without the risk of food spoiling.

Nov. 30, 2025: The holiday light display on the 900 block of Golden Crest Ave. Newbury Park is nearing completion. Santa Claus visits are scheduled for December 5th, 7th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 22nd, and 23rd from 6:00 pm till 9:00 pm. Visitors are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys and/or donate to The High Five Foundation, supporting athletes in recovery.

Located in the park in the centre of the city of Nantes, France are these wonderfully designed holders for plant growth and shaped into bird's heads. Such interesting designs and a great way to show off artwork.

One rewarding factor in doing photo-tripping on a familiar route many times during a year, is that you get to know individual animals and birds that hunt or live in an area.

The last several summers my wife and I drive through a very isolated area west of Cambridge where we have become accustomed to seeing a Northern Harrier peruse a large grassy field. Sometimes he will fly a couple of feet above the ground with his eyes fixed looking for voles or other small animals to pounce on. Other times he will fly long loops around the field from a height of 10-12 feet looking for prey.

In all of our times of observing, we have never seen him perch in a tree until this week. After sitting for a while with his head turned toward us and his body pointing another, he decided to fly off the tree and in doing so gave us a spectacular view of his back as well as demonstrating how large he must look to a small animal with his wings extended.

I finally got around to taking some good photos of the display diorama that I built for my TMNT Brickheadz for conventions. Each character stands on a modular 8x16 vignette. The turtles, Splinter, and April are shown in the turtles' sewer lair while the villains are standing on the streets of NYC above.

There were several bases along Route 66. This exhibit is odd because it has a plane identification guide to German and British planes: Route 66 ran from Chicago to Los Angeles.

My displays are starting to get seriously crowded, & I don't like all my dolls being jammed together. so I had to find another way to display some of them. This corner is right next to a glass display case, & I usually have a floor fan in there. I needed something smallish (and cheap) that I could put my regular line Monster High dolls on & this seems to do the trick. I may end up eventually replacing it with a single glass case, but for now, this will do.

Or at least this guy thinks so. I was surprised to see this guy feeling frisky without a hen in sight. It's January buddy, calm down!

Of course it is from my window and taken with my phone this is the extent of my creativeness lately.
