L'Église Saint Etienne de Chambon sur Lac
Description architecturale
L'église se situe au centre du village de Chambon-sur-Lac.
Plan: L'église Saint-Étienne est orientée et construite selon un plan allongé se terminant par une abside semi-circulaire.
Élévation extérieure: La façade occidentale est précédée d'un porche ouvert à pignon voûté d'arêtes. Au-dessus du pignon, un linteau en bâtière évoque la lapidation de Saint Étienne, premier patron de la paroisse. Le Saint reçoit, dans sa dalmatique (vêtement liturgique des diacres), les pierres lancées, il les présente à un ange qui les montre à Dieu, symbolisé par une main bénissant. Ce tympan est classé aux Monuments Historiques. Le portail est en arc brisé et décoré de voussures surmonté par un oculus et flanqués de deux contreforts.
Les murs latéraux sont flanqués de contreforts scandés par des baies cintrées, surmontés par des bandeaux, et par deux chapelles latérales sur les murs nord et sud. L'abside est ornée de modillons à copeaux et d'un cordon de billette courant sur la partie supérieure du mur.
Présence d'un cadran solaire daté de 1824 et portant l'inscription « Dominus hora Fugit » sur le porche sud.
Le clocher à flèche polygonale couverte de lauze, de plan carré, est percé sur ses quatre pans par des baies géminées cintrées munies d'abats son. Le sommet est encadré par une balustrade.
Élévation intérieure: L'intérieur se présente sous la forme d'une longue nef voûté en arc brisé dépourvue de bas-côtés. Des pilastres engagés dans les murs font la liaison avec la voûte par le biais de grandes arcades retombant directement sur d'énormes chapiteaux sculptés.
Ne possédant pas de transept, cette nef communique directement avec le chœur qui est surmonté d'une voûte en cul-de-four . Un jeu d'arcatures colorées retombant sur de fines colonnettes décore l'ensemble de ce chœur. L'abside est percée par trois baies en arc outrepassé.

Principales étapes de construction
L'église de Chambon-sur-Lac a été plusieurs fois remaniée. Lors de fouilles en 1882, trois dallages successifs ont été mis au jour. En effet, le village du Chambon-sur-Lac est construit sur d'anciens marais asséchés et l'église s'enfonce de quelques centimètres par siècle. Son pavé initial est à 1m80 en contrebas de l'entrée.

Utilice un filtro ND 1.2 de Tiffen y un degradado 0.9 de Lee para dar ese aire de "fin del mundo" en el cielo. Con Photoshop aumente contraste y toque los niveles un pelin ya que estaba bastante bien de luz para mi gusto. Aumento de nitidez y filtro ruido para el cielo.

DRS' 88010 'Aurora' and 68004 'Rapid' pass the along the sea wall at Saltcoats with 6M23 from Hunterston to Sellafield. This service is used to move nuclear material from the Hunterston nuclear power stations to Sellafield for processing.
Hunterston in North Ayrshire is home to 2 nuclear power stations - Hunterston A and Hunterston B.
Hunterston A operated between 1964 and 1990 and is in the process of being decommissioned by NDA licensee Magnox Ltd. The decommissioning process is planned to end in 2072 at which point the buildings will be demolished and site cleared.
Hunterston B - operated by EDF Energy - is still active having started operations in 1976. The station has managed to remain operational for longer than initially expected (decommissioning was due to start in 2011), but operations will cease within the next few months with the decommissioning process planned to start no later than the 7th of January 2022.
Within the last decade Hunterston B has gained media attention after it was discovered that the number of fractures in the reactors exceeded the operational limit specified in the safety case. The reactors were shut down while investigations were carried out and a revised safety case submitted to the regulator. Each of the 2 reactors were subsequently restarted in August 2020 and September 2020 respectively.

When following this Heron, all manner of beasties showed up. I was trained on him, but saw some ducks fly into the area. They quickly landed and began to swim into my frame. Just as quickly, adjustments were made on the camera, then the lens, and a different story took fold.
The congestion was mounting, Geese, Heron, and Seals were now all present. Each going about their own business and for a moment, the ocean seamed crowded. However, all stayed in their lanes as traffic tends to do. And, the Heron stood like an intersection Officer from decades ago, directing traffic.
Mardi 8 février 2022, étant de passage à Roanne, petit détour sur la Loire afin d’immortaliser quelques trains. Le dernier train surpris en ce beau jour hivernal est le train Sibelin St Germain des Fossés 75018. Il est composé en ce jour là d’une habituelle UM de 75400 et de tombereaux qui seront chargés de Feldspath chez Imerys à Lavaufranche et iront ensuite à Modene en Italie.
Alors que le soleil commence à décliner, silencieusement ils passèrent au dessus de moi. Juste le temps de déclencher et les voilà évaporés...

I was walking around the beach at sunset with my Polaroid, looking for a nice scene with the ocean, the sun going down... but nothing stood out.
While I was going back to where I came from, I met this group of guys playing football. One of them looked at the Polaroid and started doing that face "Oh, cool camera! Take us a picture!". I just replied: "If you'd just were playing by the ocean...".
This shot is the direct result of his answer: "Well, let's do it!".

Met ingang van Dienstregeling 2025 op 15 december 2024 is de Eurocity Direct (treinserie 9500) gestart met rijden van Lelystad Centrum naar Brussel-Zuid/Midi (B) - 16 ritten per dag - de eerste en laatste 2 vertrekken vanuit Amsterdam-Zuid. Deze dinsdag was ik op de Praambult om 2 ritten vast te leggen. De eerste rit die vastgelegd kan worden wordt uitgevoerd door een ICNG-B = ICNG geschikt voor Nederland en België.
NSR ICNG-B 3320 rijdt langs de Praambult aan de Oostvaardersplassen van station Lelystad Centrum naar Almere Centrum als Eurocity Direct 9544 van Lelystad Centrum naar station Brussel-Zuid/Midi (B).

As of the 2025 timetable, started on 15th of December 2024, the Eurocity Direct (train series 9500) has started running from Lelystad Centrum to Brussels-Zuid/Midi (B) - 16 round trips per day - the first and last 2 departures from Amsterdam-Zuid. This Tuesday I was on the Praambult to record 2 services. The first service is run with an ICNG-B = ICNG qualified to run in the Netherlands and Belgium.
NSR ICNG-B passes along the Praambult at the Oostvaardersplassen on its way from Lelystad Centrum station to Almere Centrum servicing Eurocity Direct 9544 from Lelystad Centrum to Brussels-Zuid/Midi station (B).
