68004 was allocated to work the 4S45 1826 Daventry to Coatbridge but has been caught in a temporal time flux anomaly with 66543 which was working the 4M56 1257 London Gateway to Garston.
The time space anomaly took place alongside the Oxford canal at Ansty.
Passage par la Suisse durant ce road-trip improvisé en plein mois de novembre motivé par une météo favorable (situation rare en 2024). Après une journée Corail alpins la veille, nous continuons en direction de l'Italie par la vallée du Rhône suisse sur la ligne de Martigny. Il n'a pas fallu attendre longtemps pour voir circuler une belle variété de trains les uns derrière les autres, en terminant par cette 620 en tête d'une courte rame diffus.
Mardi 8 février 2022, étant de passage à Roanne, petit détour sur la Loire afin d’immortaliser quelques trains. Le dernier train surpris en ce beau jour hivernal est le train Sibelin St Germain des Fossés 75018. Il est composé en ce jour là d’une habituelle UM de 75400 et de tombereaux qui seront chargés de Feldspath chez Imerys à Lavaufranche et iront ensuite à Modene en Italie.

Aussi petite qu'un moineau, bleu cendré aux parties supérieures, roux orangé pour le dessous, un fin trait noirâtre soulignant l'œil, elle parcourt les troncs d'arbres et les branches dans un sens ou dans l'autre, tête à l'envers ou à l'endroit, suspendue grâce aux longues griffes de ses pattes.
L'arbre est son domaine et les descentes au sol sont rares. La femelle construit son nid dans une cavité de tronc ou de branche, souvent dans une ancienne loge de pic.
Une artisane de la nidification
Justifiant son qualificatif de torchepot, la sittelle utilise de la boue argileuse afin de rétrécir artistiquement l'entrée à sa mesure, c'est-à-dire jusqu'à ce que l'orifice lui laisse tout juste le passage. L'intérieur est ensuite abondamment garni de copeaux d'écorces et de feuilles sèches sur lesquels les œufs reposeront en toute sécurité. Mâle et femelle barbouillent également l'entrée de résine, peut-être pour éloigner les indésirables, prédateurs ou compétiteurs. Le couple évite de se maculer de résine en plongeant directement à travers le trou pour entrer dans le nid.
Autre particularité de l'espèce : la sittelle insère des graines de toutes sortes dans les crevasses d'écorces, peut-être en prévision des jours de disette, certainement aussi pour pouvoir les briser plus facilement. Maintenues dans la crevasse comme dans un étau, les dures coquilles ne peuvent plus échapper aux coups de bec. La sitelle déploie une activité si débordante qu'elle récolte bien souvent plus qu'elle ne peut consommer !

I was walking around the beach at sunset with my Polaroid, looking for a nice scene with the ocean, the sun going down... but nothing stood out.
While I was going back to where I came from, I met this group of guys playing football. One of them looked at the Polaroid and started doing that face "Oh, cool camera! Take us a picture!". I just replied: "If you'd just were playing by the ocean...".
This shot is the direct result of his answer: "Well, let's do it!".

Met ingang van Dienstregeling 2025 op 15 december 2024 is de Eurocity Direct (treinserie 9500) gestart met rijden van Lelystad Centrum naar Brussel-Zuid/Midi (B) - 16 ritten per dag - de eerste en laatste 2 vertrekken vanuit Amsterdam-Zuid. Deze dinsdag was ik op de Praambult om 2 ritten vast te leggen. De eerste rit die vastgelegd kan worden wordt uitgevoerd door een ICNG-B = ICNG geschikt voor Nederland en België.
NSR ICNG-B 3320 rijdt langs de Praambult aan de Oostvaardersplassen van station Lelystad Centrum naar Almere Centrum als Eurocity Direct 9544 van Lelystad Centrum naar station Brussel-Zuid/Midi (B).

As of the 2025 timetable, started on 15th of December 2024, the Eurocity Direct (train series 9500) has started running from Lelystad Centrum to Brussels-Zuid/Midi (B) - 16 round trips per day - the first and last 2 departures from Amsterdam-Zuid. This Tuesday I was on the Praambult to record 2 services. The first service is run with an ICNG-B = ICNG qualified to run in the Netherlands and Belgium.
NSR ICNG-B passes along the Praambult at the Oostvaardersplassen on its way from Lelystad Centrum station to Almere Centrum servicing Eurocity Direct 9544 from Lelystad Centrum to Brussels-Zuid/Midi station (B).

When the sun gets drops behind the mountains, the feel and focus of an area seems to change quickly. As the valley begins to fill with shade, the wonderful golden light and bright blue hues give way to more muted colours, creating the opportunity to direct the viewers attention. Sometimes the mountains create a spotlight for you to play with. Or, well, that's the theory.
On the other hand, I just really love those blue green tones and back lit trees.

At the end of the opening credits of Roman Holiday, when it says Produced & Directed by William Wyler, it was shot at a similar angle as this at Piazza del Popolo.

The Théâtre Marigny is located on the Avenue des Champs Élysées in the direct neighbourhood of the garden of the Élysée Palace in the 8th arrondissement. The theatre was the location for the final fight in which Cary Grant rescues Audrey Hepburn from the villain Walter Matthau.

Der von Stanley Donen 1963 inszenierte Krimiklassiker 'Charade' führte seine Protagonisten Audrey Hepburn und Cary Grant zu vielen Originalschauplätzen im Paris der 60er Jahre.
Das Théâtre Marigny liegt an der Avenue des Champs Élysées in direkter Nachbarschaft zum Garten des Élysée-Palastes im 8. Arrondissement. Das Theater war der Drehort des Schlusskampfes, in dem Cary Grant Audrey Hepburn vor dem Bösewicht Walter Matthau rettet.
