Hello Everyone!
Yellow is considered to be an optimistic colour, so I chose a yellow tulip for today's post. Optimism is a wonderful feeling to have, any day of the week!

Hi There!
It has been quite dreary the past few days so I figured a bright Crocosmia bloom would perk me up (and maybe you as well)! I used Photoshop Elements 15 for basic adjustments and then Topaz Studio for effects. Afterwards, I liquefied a few little bits here and there just to extend colour and form. Happy Sliders Sunday! HSS!

It was one o'clock in the afternoon and Doc and I were headed home, when I spotted the "sundog" beaming down on the Glenn Highway.

Crazy Tuesday - theme of October 27th, 2020: Two of a Kind but Not the Same
I swapped the reflections in Affinity Photo - so that grumpy frog on the right can get some sparkles, too - at least his reflection ;))
The light leaks are from Topaz Studios
Happy CrAzY Tuesday, everyone !
Have you photographed a scene only later to discover surpises in the photo? While I was processing this, I realized that the log in the foreground may be a totem pole or tiki statue. Had I realized this at the time, I would have taken a closer look at it. The strange looking bird is a cormorant, a deep diving bird. They are often seen holding their wings out to dry. This sunset photo was shot at the Ponce De Leon Historical Park in Punta Gorda, Florida.

♫ Mood ~ Sia - Unstoppable
Invictus
Poem by William Ernest Henley
Out of the night which covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeoning of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
This little willow/aspen tree, must have heard about the maple trees in the northeast area of the lower forty eight that turn red in autumn, and decided she would try to do the same. I think she truly stands out from the millions of trees that surround her - and she certainly brightens the roadside.

In Alaska the ground cover is the first to take on autumns colors. Next week the trees will join in, creating a colorful landscape all around. HSS!
