This is a photograph from a set of photographs of the Celbridge AC Ray Crofton Kia 5KM Road Race and Fun Run which was held at Celbridge AC running track, Clane Road, Celbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 16th August 2015 at 10:30. The 5KM route today is a new revised route for 2015 making it different to the successful 5KM race held annually by the club in the past.
The race started on the Clane Road outside the Celbridge AC grounds and proceeded on a left-handed loop which took participants close to Celbridge mainstreet before taking a left turn westwards to return back to the Clane Road and the grounds of Saint Wolstan's Community School and North Kildare Educate Together. The final 600meters of the race were held on the beautifully manicured grass track of Celbridge AC. The race was held in beautiful summer weather with temperatures of around 16C making very favourable and pleasant conditions for participants. There was excellent marshalling and route layout with stewards on all junctions to ensure safe traffic management. Refreshments were served after the race where many participants enjoyed the morning sunshine and sat down on the grass around the track to talk and review the race. The race also marked a significant milestone for Celbridge AC who are celebrating 50 years as an athletic club. A family and community fun day was planned for after the race to make the 50th anniversary celebrations. Celbridge is a small town on the banks of the River Liffey and is only a short distance from the county border line with Dublin. The proximity to Dublin sees Celbridge boast a large population and the race today reflected this with a very large number of local athletes taking part from the 295 participants.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. A wheel is a circular device that is capable of rotating on an axle through its centre, facilitating movement or transportation while supporting a load (mass), or performing labour in machines. The 218th Regional Training Institute, South Carolina National Guard, conducts the 12B combat engineer reclassification course at McCrady Training Center in Eastover, South Carolina. The class is made up of National Guard Soldiers from multiple states and is being conducted August 8-22, 2020. Throughout the course, the Soldiers learn through classroom instruction and hands-on training covering breaching, mines and firing devices, reacting to explosive hazards, constructing demolitions systems, executing military operations on urbanized terrain training, and more. BAUT is a project by Jan Brokof (Drawings / Collages), Alfredo Bautista (Sound Installations / Noise Devices), Theo Boettger (Drawings / Installations), and Martin Böttger (Visual Art / Sculpture).
The concept of the project BAUT is to found a band of different ascendancies of music; combining different genre like noise, electronic, break beat, metal, punk, rap, and soundscapes. The project is supposed to involve all things, a regular music band represents plus exploring the possibilities of visual artistic expression within a showcase.
Their first exhibition was held at the gallery Delikatessenhaus Leipzig; where they created three different rooms: a festival room for the performance, a merchandise room for selling shirts and vinyl, and finally the backstage room.

What happens if you take four artists who had nothing to do with music so far, give them a barrel full of magazines and electro garbage and ask them to create an audiovisual work out of it. Together. As a band with bandname, livegig, labeldeal, release etc. We have checked it out and don't want to withhold the result from the world.
Their oeuvre can be best described as experimental noise. The lyrics are mostly collages of quotations from diverse magazines and newspapers which were modified and combined with own text passages.

I just took this picture because I liked the colorful keyboard and clear blue ball input elements. I don't know the application he's using, but I'm guessing it's some sort of HDTV compositing/editing/color correcting software.
At Kennedy Space Center in Florida Space shuttle Endeavour, now attached to Shuttle Carrier Aircraft 905, is pushed back from the Mate-Demate device at the Shuttle Landing Facility.
An interface design for a portable tv device. Bring back the 80s, its been a while since the idea of portable tv on the move became a reality but this is a far cry from the grainy black and white devices of 1980s.
Having previously worked with Mediafly on designing their media sharing site for podcasts. They approach us with a brief to design an interface for this new generation of devices which are currently hitting the market.
The screen shot here shows all the windows open with their content displayed. The top section collapses down to the grey bar. It reveals the currently playing episode shows icon, tile, episode title, brief descriptor copy and options to add to your Mediafly account areas.
The bottom section reveals the shows available in your Meadifly subscribed account, displaying icons for video or audio, status on download - downloading ready to download. There is the ability to scroll left and right through the various categories and down through all the subscribed shows. Beside the my favorites tab is the option to flip to other area of new shows categories of shows.
The final design required elements that would be fast to load, easy to overlay moving footage and wouldn't require loads of images to be uploaded before the device is ready to watch. A compact space with lots of information to be displayed was a tough challenged, but we feel this solution addressed the clients concerns and provided a visually interesting and accessible product for the consumer.

Kathleen Omollo of Enabling Technologies shows the device created to aid medical education in remote locations, using open-source components. More than 20 are being tested in Africa.
This is the device that reads the information sent from the transmitter for the continuous glucose monitor. It will display graphs of my blood sugar results, and it will also alert me if my blood sugar is falling low or climbing high.
I have a definite love/hate relationship with this thing, especially since it seems to lose connection with the transmitter too easily, which sets off an alarm, which always seems to happen at 2am in the morning. If it didn't wake me up so much in the middle of the night I might be a little more pleased with it.
