The destructibility gives our planet an environment, causes game developer to be feel more solid. Bullets munch masonry while you fire lower corridors, explosions puff out obscuring clouds of dust, and shelter becomes open ground. This theatre of war crumbles throughout the show, and it is an atmosphere done full justice by surround seem that picks out skittering actions, the crack of the sniper's bullet, or even the overwhelming impact of the tank shot.
The polish stretches beyond BF4's more apparent charms to systems like squad spawning or even the AI mic chatter that flags enemy targets. These tie together large categories of gamers and enormous objective-based maps, forging fast links between random gamers and providing reinforcement waves a fundamental rhythm. A lot of small features really are a delight I really like 'spotting' opponents by tugging the R2 trigger, and that means you forego opening fire for any second to flag their position for that team. It is a slightly dangerous choice however a heavily compensated one, so gamers much like me continue doing the work, and also the whole squad benefits.
Guiding conduct like this is actually the mark of the great game developer, what makes Battleground brilliant is within how this setup results in endless one-off situations and emergent battles. Multiplayer's primary mode is Conquest, where 3 to 5 objectives need to be fought against over and held - a few of these are flags in small-arenas, and a number of them are flags on such things as a skyscraper.
With buddies such as these …

I recall the very first time I fought against on the top from the skyscraper, since it was running smoothly. game developer an incredible number of six or seven securing it lower, I'd had a couple of kills, and everything was peachy until a security began sounding. The 4 guys near me woke up, switched around and leaped from the building. I looked lower to determine their parachutes flourishing up one-by-one, and it was thinking 'how beautiful' because the skyscraper collapsed and wiped out me.
Test of new developer. Notched 5" strip every 1". Fully exposed to light. Inserted 1" section at a time at 60 sec. intervals, then continued development another 4 minutes for 9 minutes total (I expected 7 minutes to be right time). Measured density of each section with Vuescan software in Plustek Opticfilm 8200i scanner. Confirmed 7 minutes was right time, just at start of density saturation.
This divorces the appearance towards the actual equipment data, making the visualization nearly meaningless poor understanding what the “stats” from the equipment are. However, the appearance of the character is really a social expression, and a few gamers are frequently motivated to acquire aesthetically distinguishable equipment in an effort to communicate social status.
Other games, for example League of Stories, also utilizes social motivators. In League of Stories, you can buy custom “skins” for the character without any effect on game play. However, custom skins behave as a social symbol of status with other game developer. Your kill:dying record can also be public, and a few gamers might be motivated to experience to improve their total games won, or their rank within the ladder / tournament system.
Accomplishments
Most game developer
nowadays start adding some kind of achievement system. Accomplishments behave as visible indicators of progress. If they are public, they may also behave as social motivators. When the game is enjoyable and fun, accomplishments can enhance game play. When the game has stopped to become fun, however, accomplishments can behave as methods to keep otherwise unengaged gamers motivated to help keep playing.
Immersion: Diegetic versus. Non-Diegetic
Most games largely use Non-Diegetic connects. A non-diegetic interface is a that is available outdoors from the game world it is available just for the gamer from the game, not the figures within the game.
For a lot of games, like League of Stories, data visualizations don’t draw attention away from much in the game. Visiting a player’s health bar, or even the minimap, or even the fog of war, doesn't ruin immersion. For many genres, like Multi-player Online Fight Arena (MOBA) or Real-time Strategy games, this type of details are critical. This type of interface is known as a “non-diegetic” interface. What this means is the interface is available outdoors from the game world the interface is available for that player from the game - not the figures within the game developer
world.

A second test film with my Zorki 1 type D (year 1955), Lyon, France, January 16, 2023, after the range-finder adjustment and the receipt of small accessories as a metal push-on shade hood and FOCA filters A36 made in France in the 50's.
The Zorki was loaded with a 36-exposure Svema Foto 400 exposed for 400 ISO. Svema Foto 400 is a superpanchromatic film sensitized in the red to 780 nm and coated on a very thin clear PET base. The anti-halation is provided by water-soluble black and blue pigments coated on the back and similar to one used for Rollei Retro 400S (Agfa Aviphot 400).
For this film the Industar-22 lens was equipped with a 36mm push-on "1A" (likely the so-called "Skylight") filter and unknown brand (not FOCA) and a generic metal cylindric shade hood.
Expositions were determined using a Minolta Autometer III with a 10° finder for selective measurements privileging the shadow areas. The possible slight absorption of the 1A filter was not corrected.

France
After exposure, the film was processed using Adox Adonal (Agfa Rodinal) developer at dilution 1+25, 20°C for 10min30, with the same developing time as the Rollei Retro 400S film.
The film was then digitalized using a Sony A7 body adapted to a Minolta Auto Bellows III and a Minolta Slide Duplicator using a lens Minolta Bellow Macro Rokkor 50mm f/3.5 at a reproduction ratio of 1:1. The reproduced RAW files obtained were processed in LR prior the the final JPEG editions.
During the photo session, after several views, the film cartridge did not rotate freely retaining the film too much. Before I found that I could help the film to exit from the cartridge by counter rotating the rewind button, some views were overlapped significantly and a bit off-centered, fortunately without film damage.
All views of the film are presented (with resizing for overlapped ones) in the dedicated album either in the printed framed versions and unframed full-size jpeg.
Contrary to the previous Svema Foto 400 films where quality problems were noticed, no polluted zone were detected here. This film was attached to the spool by a paper sticker and not the adhesive tape of the other Svema (Astrum) film that a suspected possibly to damage the emulsion by releasing some chemicals.
About the camera and the lens:
This camera is a practically mint sample of Zorki 1 arrived to me in Lyon, France, January 10, 2023.
The camera looked exiting from the KMZ factory in USSR almost 70 years later spent in a time capsule ... with almost no traces of use. According to a custom receipt of July 28, 1955, signed in Vienna, Austria, the camera body and lens are the original matched ones. As for the original FED, FED-Zorki and Zorki's ("ФЭД", "ФЭД-Зоркий", „Зоркий“), the Zorki 1 was a straight legal copy of the Oskar Barnack Leica II after the cancelation of German camera patents following the end of WWII.
This Zorki 1 is a type D model PM1115 (year 1955 according sovietcams.com/index7584.html). Type D Zorki's were produced from 1953 to 1955 in about 250.000 units with serial numbers ranging from #470.000 to (in 1955) #55 45.000. The original lens of this Zorki units is an collapsible lens Industar-22 1:3.5 f=5cm.
In the rear pocket of the ever-ready leather bag was deposited the custom receipt and a film label of Agfa negative-color CN17 likely from the 60's.
InterContinental Boston, 500 Atlantic Ave, Boston, MA
Developer Intell Boston Harbor LLC broke ground on the 424-room InterContinental Boston (500 Atlantic Ave) in June 2004. The harbor front site was used for over a 100 years by Boston Edison. Previously the developer built the W Hotel Times Square, NYC.
Brian Fallon and Gary Barnett, partners of Intell Boston Harbor LLC (now called Extell Boston Harbor LLC) explained the $330 million dollar condo/hotel would wrap around the existing ventilation system for the Big Dig's Central Artery. The original financing of the project included a $250 million loan with HSBC. The 130 condos on the upper floors are intended in part to subsidize the financing of the hotel. A three-year $127 million construction loan was provided by Hypo Real Estate Capital Corp.
The project’s architect is Howard Elkus of the Boston firm of Elkus/Manfredi (also designed the 339-room Peninsula Chicago). Interior design of “Residences at the InterContinental” is being developed Celeste Cooper, The Cooper Group. Timothy P. Kirwan was appointed the opening general manager. Previously he was the Managing Director of Hotel Commonwealth in Boston’s Back Bay.
