So, because I've started taking a lot of film again lately, I don't have any pictures to upload because of a lack of a scanner and lack of money to develope film (I bought the new Bon Iver album instead :) )

So this is it for this week! I did one of these before and it was a lot of fun, so I'm gonna do another.

Somehow, a bigger purse means much much less things.

Road Runner

The Road Runner cartoon figure is a cartoon version of the Greater Roadrunner a long-legged fast running bird in the cuckoo family, In cartoon form he was creted by Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese for the Warner Brothers Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons, along with his arch nemesis Wile E. Coyote who wants to catch and eat him. Together they appear in 49 shorts, their first appearance was in The Fast and the Fury-ous - wonder if Vin Diesel saw it.

Plymouth paid $50,000 to Warner Bros.-Seven Arts to use the Road Runner name and likeness from their Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner cartoons (as well as a "beep, beep" horn, which Plymouth paid $10,000 to develope)

Eagle Ford T2G (1966) Engine 4200cc V8

Entrant/Driver: Doug Magnon

The All American Eagle racing team was formed by Dan Gurney and Carroll Shelby in 1964, to contest both Formula One and Champ/Indy Car with the Formula One team (known as Anglo American Eagle) running from Rye, East Sussex and the Champ Cars from Santa Ana, California . The team ran a Lotus38 in the 1965 Indianapolis 500.

Hiring British designer Len Terry to develope their own 1966 car. The resulting Ford-powered Eagle T2G was codeveloped with the Coventry Climax powered Eagle T1G for Formula 1, later using a specially developed Harry weslake engine.

The T2G raced in the 1966 Indianapolis 500 but was not a great sucess, but bigger things were on the horizon for the team on both sides of the Atlantic.

Milltown Rescue Squads unique rescue vehicle is a Bobcat that has been modified by the members of the company, making it one of the first of it's kind. They start by mounting a removable construction gang box on the front. The box is stocked with a full line of medical equipment including splints, bandages and other medical needs. The rear compartment has a full stretcher, oxygen, backboard and water rescue equipment.

This vehicle is a testament to how the fire and rescue community can take a piece of ordinary equipment and adapt it to their needs. Bobcat has taken some of Milltown Rescue Squads ideas and have made them avaiable to other rescue and fire companies. Here's to the men and women of the Milltown Rescue Squad who had the ideas and means to develope such a unique and useful vehicle.

I have provided diagrams for the original 8-Piece New-Found Hope Star by Andrey Hechuev. This is for those who prefer diagrams to develope their own folding sequence instead of following video tutorial. I have not provided the assembly of the modules and you will still need to refer to the video tutorial for the assembly.

The module is actually derived from a 1/2 Fish Base. The template photo shows the change of the angles for the respective number of Modules.

The line marked 8 is for the original 8 module assembly. This is obtained by folding the bottom edge E to the centre E of the square paper. Repeating the fold for the right edge will result in a 1/2 Fish Base. The rest of the crease lines are actually modifications of the 1/2 Fish Base.

For a 12-Module assembly the crease line 12 is obtained by folding the corner C the the middle vertical C.

For 6-Module assembly, fold the bottom edge E to align to crease line 12.

The red lines 7 and 10 are bisectors and are rough estimates for the respective number of modules.

For 9 and 11-module assembly, the angles are in between 8 and 10 and between 10 and 12 respectively.

Finally, for a 5-module assembly, [not shown] simply fold the bottom edge E to align with the crease line marked 8.

Except for the crease lines 6, 8, and 12 all the other crease lines are rough estimates for their respective number of modules.

Triumph Spitfire GT6 Mk1 (1966-68) Engine 1998c S6 OHV Production 12,066

This car is registered and badged as a GT6, with a GT6 engine, but obviously the GT6 was a hard top fast back, while the Spitfire was a soft top with an occasional hardtop. So it is eith er Spit with a GT6 lump or unique. Here is a little bit of info i picked up. An unmodified Spitfire 4 was delivered to Michelotti's design studios in Italy and late in 1963 the prototype Spitfire GT4 was returned to England for evaluation. The styling of the vehicle was a success but the extra weight of the GT bodyshell resulted in extremely poor performance from the Spitfire's 1,147 cc engine and plans to develope the GT4 were shelved. Michelotti's fastback design for the Spitfire GT4 prototype was adopted by the Triumph racing programme for the 1964 season, as it was deemed to provide an aerodynamic benefit over the standard Spitfire body shape. Fibreglass copies of the Spitfire GT4's fastback were grafted on to the race-modified Spitfires destined for competition. The Spitfire racing programme was successful and in 1965 resulted in 13th overall and a 1st in class at LeMans. The Spitfire's competitive success and the continuing commercial success of the production vehicle led Triumph to re-evaluate its shelved plans for a GT version of the Spitfire. To overcome the lack of performance inherent in the heavier body style the Spitfire's 4-cylinder engine was replaced with the more powerful 2.0 L (1,996 cc) Triumph inline 6 originally derived from the Vitesse. The car was further developed and refined and eventually launched as the Triumph GT6 (dropping the Spitfire per-fix. Contemporary Triumph marketing advertised the GT6 as being developed from the race winning LeMans Spitfires, when in truththe Le Mans Spitfires and the GT6 were actually two entirely separate development programmes (the GT programme pre-dating the racing programme). However, the marketing spin was so successful that many people erroneously believed the Le Mans Spitfires to actually be GT6s.

The first series of GT6 was introduced in 1966 as a six cylinder sports coupe based on the Spitfire. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti and based on the recently introduced Spitfire Mk. IV. he new body was a sleek fastback design with an opening rear hatch, earning the GT6 the nickname of poor man's E-Type It was really a 2-seater, but a small extra rear seat could be ordered, large enough for small children. The family resemblance to the Spitfire Mk II was strong, the longer 6-cylinder engine necessitated a new bonnet top with a power bulge and the doors were provided with opening quarter light windows and squared-off glass in the top rear corner. The 6-cylinder engine was based on that of the Triumph Vitesse 2 litre developing 95bhp necessitated certain changes to the Spitfire mechanics; the radiator was new and mounted further forward in the car and the gearbox was the stronger unit from the Vitesse 2 litre, with synchromesh on all 4 forward gears. An optional Laycock de Normanville overdrive was offered giving a 20 per cent overdrive on 3rd and 4th gears. Front springs were uprated to cope with the extra weight of the new engine with the car weighing in at 1,904lbs The only major criticism was of its rear suspension; the GT6 inherited the swing-axle system from the Spitfire, which in turn was copied from the Herald small saloon. In the saloon it was tolerated, in the Spitfire criticised and in the more powerful GT6 it was a problem, particularly in the US market.

Triumph realised that they needed to find an answer to the handling problem, and their response came in 1969 with the Mark 2.

# 6 Riccardo Patres

The FW14 was designed by Patrick Head and Adrian Newey for the 1991 season followind dissapointing seasons in 1989 and 1990 in the eyes of both Williams and engine supplier Renault. Newey started work on the new car soon after joining the team from March in mid-1990. He had designed a series of aerodynamically efficient and very effective cars for March on a limited budget, so with Williams' greater resources and money he was able to fully develope his ideas. The design showed enough promise to tempt Nigel Mansell to shelve his plans to retire from the sport and rejoin Williams from Ferrari. Powered by a 3.5 litre V10 Renault engine, the car was the most technically sophisticated on the grid and produced six winns, four for Mansell and two for Patrese. Taking Williams to second in the Constructors Championship with 125 points.

For 1992 the team retained the same driver line up.

By 1992 the FW14B featured a semi automatic gearbox, active suspension, traction control and for a brief period anti-lock brakes. Add to that the superb aerodynamics by Newey that was far ahead of the McLaren MP4/6, Ferrari 643 or Lotus 107, and it made for a potent mix, although at the beginning the disbelievers said the car was too technical for its own good. The FW14B was so successful that its successor (the FW15), which was already available mid season in 1992, was never used.
