There are hundreds of acres of cotton fields surrounding our house here in the Brazos River Valley Bottom. I had never seen a cotton plant up close until we moved here, and I'm fascinated by the beauty of the flower. It appears that the flower only lives for about 24 hours. It blossoms a creamy white, and as the day progresses, a soft magenta begins to appear on it's petals. By the end of it's life cycle, the flower closes a bright, deep magenta. Once the matured flower falls from the plant, the cotton boll begins to develope where once the flower had been.

My style of modelling diorama is always about "flexibility" , that is to show the model in varieties of conditions. There is a barrier gate in the site, and I would like to show it in either opened or closed conditions. Considering the complex mechanism of the actual gate, it is extremely hard and not efficient to make a operable gate in 1:150 scale. So I develope a slot-in/fasterer method in order to accomodate the two conditions. These dropbar acccessories (as shown in the above bottom left photo) took me two weeks to make.

During the 1950's Harry Ferguson began developing a four wheel drive system for cars. The system became known as the Ferguson Formula and was adapated to some experimental Ford Zodiac Mk.III Police Cars, the Ferguson FF race car and on the Jenson Interceptor FF.
This is one of the prototype vehicles used to develope the FF system. It is powered by a 2.2 litre horizontally oposed four cylinder engine, with four wheel independant suspension and Dunlop disc brakes all round which use a Maxaret anti-locking system

Frisky Mk.1 Family Three (1959) Captain Raymond Flower originally attempted to set up and build a small racing car, the Pheonix in Egypt but plans were halted by the Suez crisis. On return to England he approached Meadows with his light people car and when Meadows decided to develope it Gordon Bedson joined the project to utilise his chassis expertise. Henry Meadows offered production facilities at the Meadows factory in Wolverhampton (famous for the supply of propriety engines). Naming the car company Frisky.with a small four wheeled Villiers powered Coupe and Sport. The Frisky Family Three with an Excelsior Twin although most had a 197 cc Villiers engine appeared in 1958 and became the companies best seller. Long after Flower had departed from Meadows and the Frisky project he attempt to raise interest in Egypt. Later he helped Egpt develope the Rameses an NSU and later Fiat based car

Final Outcome. Students used cardboard construction techniques to develope a self-portrait influenced by the works of Gabo. Acrylic paint was added to highlight shape, shadow and tone.

The waves crashing onto the shore freeze, and over a period of time develope "dunes" of ice. To look at them, they are very surreal. I thought that this setting suited B&W.

A sketch I made of types of (male) bodies that can be described as lean. This is the introduction to a series of posts in which I'll describe why a six-pack does notnecessarily have to be the holy grail of fitness, and how to REALLY get a great one. To kick things off, here's the mini lean-o-pedia:
-The Skinny Fuck
That bony type of boey that many so-called "ectos" have. Those are the infamous "can eat anything and won't get fat" guys. Note that ab definition at this body type can't be called a six-pack; it's visibility of a muscle, but it doesen't symbolize fitness or strenght.
-The Ninja
This is the type of body where people would jokingly say about a person "he's kinda ripped XD". It deserves actual respect, different to the Fuck body, because if you have it, you've worked for it. You've either lost a crapload of fat, or made you first well-earned gains. This is where muscle becomes visible and it's shape is there all over the body, just not with significant volume. The chest is not all-flat anymore, and the arms get defined. In clothing, you might easily be confused with a skinny dude. This was me about up to a year ago, in my long phase of endless pushup and sit-up reps.
-The Athlete
People with this body really start to develope a V. It's not very buff, but appears a lot more dense than the previous category. People might suspect that someone with this body lifts weights.
I'm currently at this state. The main trademarks are noticeably broader than common shoulders, arms that are not big, yet clearly have more size than an average person's as well as a chest and lats that start to be visible, no matter what you wear.
-The Adonis
Obviously muscular and ripped. Not pro bodybuilder-like; more of a body that many Hollywood folks and fitness models have.

BMW M1 (1978-81) The M1 was originally built by Lamborghini in an agreement with BMW to develope a racing car that could also be marketed to the public. and became the only mid-engined mass produced BMW. The body was styled by Giugiaro in Italy. The engine a twin-cam M88/1 3.5 ltr. 6 cylinder with Kugelfischler fuel injection was used in a South African version of the 1984-85 BMW 745 (209 units), the E24 M6 and M635CSi and the E28 M5.. The street version of the M1 gave 273 bhp and a top end of 160 mph while the Turbo racers got 850 bhp, Total production of 456. In racing the M1 won the Group championship in 1984 and the Procar BMW M1 series supported Formula One 1979 + 1980 driven by the current grand prix drivers. These views of Buckley Island in the Ohio River at Marietta Ohio and Williamstown West Virginia, on 05 Oct 2019. A few trees on the Island are beginning to develope a little Autumn color . Exploring the Rio Burio, running through the town of La Fortuna. Surrounded by volcanoes, I glimpsed a leg dangling at head height from a plant over hanging the river.
This is the only shot I was luckily enough to capture of this adult male before he dived thicker into the foliage. Males develope a crest on the head seen here aswell as a very impressive crest on its back and tail.
They are found close to water and when spooked have the ability to jump into water and run across the surface with their back legs. Due to the adaptations on their toes.
