The Golden Flash was introduced by BSA in 1950, Code-named the BSA A10, it was available in black and chrome; but it was the distinctive golden paint scheme that gave The Golden Flash its name. Its 649cc parellel twin engine was designed by Bert Hopwood who had worked at Ariel and |Triumph were he helped develope the 1937 Triumph Speed Twin which became the exemplar of the parallel twin engine layout for British motorcycles in the 1950s and 1960s. In April 1947 Hopwood joined Norton to design the Norton Dominator engine. in May 1948 BSA enticed Hopwood from Norton, and he was commissioned to create a competitive BSA parallel-twin. Launched in October 1949, Hopwood's A10 Golden Flash was increased to 650 cc (40 cu in), with a revised alloy rocker box and cast-iron cylinder head, plus an integral manifold for the single Amal carburettor. A semi-unit gearbox meant the primary chain was adjustable via a slipper tensioner within the primary chain case. The frame was available in rear rigid format, but the more common option was plunger suspension, adopted for the export market

This was a project for university. An impromptu assignment over the weekend. The task was tobuild a bar, for each person in the group it had to be one meters long, we were six, so our bar was six meters. We also had to develope a whole concept including the bar itself, our cloths, the drinks and music.
The professors "tested" the bar at tuesday and that was some kind of big party!
Our concept was the barcode, with the illuminated bar, striped drinks, striped music ( Mouse on Mars ) and shirts with our names in barcodes on it.

When all the Visitors kome to Berlin and the Kountry I hope it turns into a big Happening. It´s not needed to be a Sokkerfan to be kurious how the Games develope. Will the whole Plays be known for the senseless "3rd Halftime" or for the Sport Effort and stirring Matches?
A lot of Fun for all Fans and Athletes.

Having paid Warner brothers $50,000 for use of the name and image of its cartoon figure the Road Runner and $ 10,000 to develope a horn to mimick its "meep meep" sound. Chrysler set out to build a pure back to basics muscle car. Using the shared platform of the Belvedere, Satelite and GTX everything essential to performance and handling were beefed up any non essential ditched. Even carpet on the early models, a floor change with only a rubber boot instead of a console. Standard engine was the 383 Ci Road Runner V8 of 335 bhp, a further $ 714 bought a 426 Ci Hemi rated at 425 bhp sales pojection for 1968 was 2,000 sales were 45,000. The 1969 model was little changed rear tailights, optional bucket seats and decals. An optional "Air Graber Hood" was offered ( a bolt on assembly on the underside of the bonnet connecting to two retangular upward facing scoops, when the bonnet was closed a rubber seal fitted over a large unsilenced air cleaner assembly that ducted air directly into the engine. The scoop on the bonnet could be opened and closed via a lever on the dash. A 440 Ci was also available with three two barrel carbs and 390 bhp. This is a Captive Serval at Chester Zoo
They are wild in Africa and can be 'domesticated' but are not that good at using the litter tray.
I have also read they make a very loyal pet and will attache themselves to one person in the family.
Over the Years they have been cross-bred with the domestic cat then they develope Domestic tendances to a dog walking on a lead etc Interesting Animal but would look more relaxed in the wild

I took the pictures in to be developed a day or two before the L. A. RIOTS broke out in April 1992. When the SHOOT , SCOOT & LOOT was over at FEDCO, they tried to set the store on fire, but the automatic sprinklers came on and some of the pictures show water damage and very slight to a lot of exposure damage. My other rolls of film were completely wasted. I finally got these pictures back about a year later.
Now four of these photos I processed myself because at the time Fedco didn't develope the images because they thought the film was too badly damaged to do anything with. So I just got the negatives. Well I remedied that problem. I had a lot of negatives but didn't want to pay a lot of money to take them to a film lab. So I bought a Kodak Slide 'N Scan digital Film scanner, no old school chemicals and dark room needed. Ain't technology gr8?

The street version of the M1 gave 273 bhp and a top end of 160 mph while the Turbo racers got 850 bhp, Total production of 456. In racing the M1 won the Group championship in 1984 and the Procar BMW M1 series supported Formula One 1979 + 1980 driven by the current grand prix drivers. The Lancia D50 was designed as a Formula One car by Vittorio Jano making use of the innovative ideas of using the engina as a stressed chassis member, the offset positioning of the driver to allow a lower overall height and the use of pannier fuel cells between the wheels to improve weight distribution and aerodynamics.
Debuting towards the end of the 1954 season in the hands of twice World champion Driver, Alberto Ascari the car claimed pole position and fastest lap but was thwarted by a failed clutch. Ascari started the 1955 season with two accidents the second at Monaco, four days later he was watching his freind Eugene Castelotti testing a ferrari 750 Monza at Monza when he asked to try a few laps. The car sommersaulted and Ascari was thrown out and fatally injured.
Following Ascari's death, and in increasing financial trouble, the Lancia family sold their controlling share in the Lancia company, and the assets of Scuderia Lancia were given to Scuderia Ferrari. Ferrari continued to develope the car although ammending and removing many of its features, including the side pontoons, and rebadging the cars as Ferrari D50, in which form Fangio went on to win the 1956 drivers championship.
Of the six original cars four were either broken up or destroyed the remaining two reside in Italian Museums. Throughout the 1960's, 70's & 80's, Guido Rosani made it his life's project to gather all the remaining D50 components, plus a complete set of D50 drawings, much technical data including dyno reports and spidery hand written race reports as well as Ascari’s contract with Lancia. the Fiat Lancia Museum very kindly allowed Guido to dismantle one of the two surviving original D50s to check details and measure dimensions. Ercole Spada, retired chief stylist at Zagato, helped Guido with body drawings and designs as well as the buck. Borrani agreed to supply wheels and hubs to the original pattern. Allemano which had made the instruments for the D24 and the D50 in the 1950s and was still in business agreed to help. In England Jim Stokes painstakingly disassembled the chassis and checked, X-rayed and crack tested every item. He then rebuilt the car to race standards and re-assembled the engines and transaxles. The engine had new pistons, rods and crankshafts, both for reliability and to save the unthinkable risk of damaging an original block or head. Everything was rebuilt to the original specification with very much the same methods as would have been used in the 1950s. On the dyno, the engines gave almost exactly the same output as Lancia had obtained, varying between about 220 and 230bhp. After minor adjustments, mainly for handling balance, the cars turned out to be race worthy and reliable as built.
Anthony Bamford, Bernie Ecclestone and the late Tom Wheatcroft helped with the project.
It is said that these Lancia are more original than many of the Maserati 250F's they now regularly encounter
