SBB Re 4/4 duo 420 276 + 420 244 tow withdrawn 11190 away from Basel. 11190 had been on Basel Lokdepot since last year and had been systematically robbed of various parts since. Ultimate destination for this machine is Bellinzona.

The anchors, firmly grounded on land, remind us of the importance of our roots, while the ship in the background symbolizes the constant desire to keep moving forward.

Result of multiple trial and error attempts of this my favourite clinker on Dungeness. Had to hold the camera up on the bow and take repeated shots to get something pleasing.

After working all day, the couch is my final destination! Also my reintroduction to the #tummytuesday club! Photo by the talented @rjbear70

Spent the most of this weekend runnning around the graveyard shootin' photos for AP art. But I finally found time to get over to George Roger's Park and get some good shots of the fishy-pool where I go swimming in the summertime. Took the film camera with me this time and tried my hand at black-and-white (which I will post once I've got it developed). Eeek. Film!

Said to the man at the railroad station

"I want a ticket, just for one"

He said, "well, if you insist

Where you wanna go, a miss? Oh"

Destination anywhere

East or west, I don't care

You see my baby don't want me no more

This old world, ain't got no back door

He looked at me with a funny face and said,

"Are you sure you wanna go just any place?"

I said, "If you ever loved someone, the way I loved that man,

Surely Mr. ticket agent, you should understand"

Destination anywhere

East or west, I don't care

You see my baby don't want me no more

This old world ain't got no back door

'Cause if it did, it would swing both ways

And we'd go on back to happy yesterdays

When I loved him tenderly

And all he needed was me

As I stared through the window of the train

I thought I heard my baby call my name

But it was just the conductor saying

"Which stop would you prefer?"

Oh, destination anywhere

East or west, I don't care

You see my baby don't want me no more

This old world, ain't got no back door

Destination anywhere

East or west, I don't care

Destination anywhere

East or west, I don't care

Destination anywhere

East or west, I don't care

Destination anywhere

East or west, I don't care,

When you purchase the tickets for the opportunity to climb to the top of Il Duomo, do not wait an hour in this line and climb Giotto's Campanile first. Your quads and calves will thank you later!

An old photograph taken in New Cross Road (Queen's Road out of shot on the right), of London Transport (LT) E/1 class tram No. 1380 showing '38 - Abbey Wood via Old Kent Rd' destination blinds.

The photo reverse is initialled by the photographer and negative owner 'ADP' (A. D. Packer).

No. 1380 was an ex London County Council Tramways (LCC) car built in 1909 by Hurst Nelson seating 27/46 and running on Hurst Nelson (LCC class 4A) maximum traction trucks. In Aug 1929 it was 'pullmanised' (modernised) getting upholstered seats and a brightened up interior.

In 1933 its ownership transferred to the London Passenger Transport Board (LPTB) and in Aug 1936 it was reconditioned/rehabilitated (aka a 'rehab car') which included having driver screens (platform vestibules) fitted. It was withdrawn from service in Aug 1951 and disposed of (broken up or sold) in the Penhall Road Works.

The parts of the London tramways system that had not already been withdrawn or transferred to trolleybus/bus operation closed on 05 Jul 1952.

The MGB Regio service R843, the 14:14 from Disentis arrives at Andermatt in the care of Class HGe 4/4'' 104 'Furka'. The locomotive bears evidence of the seasonal conditions negotiated at Oberalppass, a somewhat wintery journey I had completed earlier that day. With the weather closing in, the forecasted snow had just commenced at Andermatt and I was soon sat in the warmth of my train for the ride back to Brig.

One of the main attractions of the Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu temple is its holy springs, which are believed to have healing properties. Visitors are welcome to bathe in the waters and make offerings to the deities.

Inevitably, the journey ends.

We reach our final destination. Sometimes sooner than we expect.

Earlier today, I saw a 25 yr old man. He died of a kayaking accident.

Later in the day, a friend of mine died of cancer. She was about my age.

Lately, I keep getting this feeling that it is not too far away for me either.

A strange, but liberating feeling.

one of the graves from the island of providencia at lake maracaibo, a place where all sick people with leprous of Maracaibo at the beginning of the XX century were taken to isolate them from the rest of the population when the illness was considered as highly contagious, most of them didn't came back, dying right there and buried in this cemetery. This grave is from the beginning of the 1930's. There's some rests of the village but right now nature is claiming back his place

On Sunday there were no trucks traveling along the motorway, as per the regulations on Sundays the trucks are stationary, it was traveling well. Instead, suddenly there it was, a truck used for transporting live animals. And inside, crammed together, pigs destined for slaughter. When I passed the truck, I could see their kind eyes, and I felt sad.

Then I called the traffic police, but they told me that they have special authorizations to travel even on Sundays, and that there was already a police patrol checking. I didn't see any patrol.

Steve Fulton Music Performing at Pine Fest Music Festival in Halfway Oregon

A spectacular Saturday on the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway for day Pine Fest - Halfway, Oregon with the Boise based Steve Fulton Music

Billed as the tiniest music festival in the tiniest town, Pine fest is one of our favorite fall events along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway. We had a great day hanging out with locals and visitors from Oregon Idaho and Washington listening to a great line up of bands and musicians from throughout the Northwest at the Baker County Fairgrounds in Halfway.

Pine Fest is the largest musical festival in Halfway but the community also hosts a number of other musical events including the summer concert series on the Main Street Stage. For more information about Pine Fest including next year’s dates and performers visit www.pinefest.org

The town of Halfway is just one of numerous small towns along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway, a loop that encircles the Wallowa Mountains, intersecting with Interstate 84 at Baker City and La Grande, and communities all along the byway host a variety of festivals and community events throughout the year providing visitors a chance to celebrate local culture and visit with locals while exploring this incredibly scenic region of North East Oregon.

The byway is a popular destination for group tours and offers visitors a chance to experience small town Americana in small towns like Halfway, as they explore the rugged and spectacular Northeast Oregon landscape along the way.

The entire route is on a paved highway. Plan ahead - you'll find stretches of more than eighty miles without gas and with few services. A segment of the Byway between Joseph and Halfway closes with snow in winter, but allows access to winter recreation areas, offering a whole other kind of Northeast Oregon Adventure.

Here is Express Motors Dennis Dart CX04 CVF as this is changing it's destination for the route 85 to Llanberis as the destination board says for the route S97 to Pen y Pass. as its heading to stand A the bus got stalled as it's reverses back with no engine on, maybe this one is having problems while some vehicles stalls off there engines.

Another 'making the most of the dull, grey conditions' shots from my recent trip to Cumbria.

A fine line up in the summer of 1980.

Flora and Fauna around Philips Reservoir in Baker County Oregon.

Spent a little time enjoying the wildlife and wildflowers at Philips Lake along the Elkhorn Scenic Byway.

Phillip’s lake is a popular destination along the Elkhorn Scenic Byway for local watchable wildlife enthusiasts with an abundant population of bird species year-round and particularly in spring and fall migration.

The lake is surrounded by hiking and mountain bike trails and in the winter the Shoreline Loop trail becomes a popular Nordic ski trail.

Birding enthusiasts can see more than 300 bird species throughout Baker County.

A few of our favorite nearby birding hot spots include the Sumpter Dredge Wildlife area between McEwen Station and the Sumpter Dredge. We didn't see a lot of birds on this trip but did see lots of early summer wildflowers.

Just north of Phillips Lake below the Mason Dam visitors can explore easily accessible trails along the Powder River at the Powder River Rec Area. This is always a fun stop and offers easy access to fishing with trails along both sides of the Powder River providing easy river access and beautiful views along the Hells Canyon Scenic Byway
