Der von Tempeln bestandene Bereich erstreckt sich über ca. 36 km² in einer versteppten Landschaft und bildet eine der größten archäologischen Stätten Südostasiens. Bagan liegt in der heutigen Mandalay-Division, 155 km südwestlich der Stadt Mandalay am Ostufer des Irrawaddy, auf halbem Weg zwischen dessen Quelle und der Mündung in den Indischen Ozean und ist heute eines der wichtigsten touristischsten Ziele in Myanmar.

The area made up of temples extends over approx. 36 km² in a stepped landscape and forms one of the largest archaeological sites in Southeast Asia. Bagan is located in what is now the Mandalay Division, 155 km southwest of the city of Mandalay on the east bank of the Irrawaddy, halfway between its source and its mouth in the Indian Ocean and is now one of the most important tourist destinations in Myanmar.
And stars again, this time, close to home. The local observatory of Guardamonte, Italy, reserved to me the courtesy to host me for a whole night. Imagine, a whole observatory at my disposal, great, but I preferred to use it as a subject instead to watch the stars. And again, do you want to learn how to do this kind of night photography?

The site is located on the banks of River Jordan at 380 Meters Below Sea Level, just 5 miles North of the Dead Sea, the final destination of the river.
River Jordan gives the pilgrims and tourists alike the feeling of authenticity.
This site is considered a holy place as it is where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist an event that changed human history and marked the dawn of Christianity.
Also, there is a number of Churches in the area.
Worth visiting. better during cooler months to avoid the Jordan Valley high temperatures.

One of 16 viaducts of the Semmering railway, which leads over Semmering Pass. "The Semmering railway was constructed between 1848 and 1854 by some 20,000 workers under the project's designer and director Carl von Ghega" and "is commonly referred to as the world's first true mountain railway. Semmering is a popular destination for day-trippers from Vienna.
Bedruthan became a popular destination when Newquay developed as a holiday resort more than 100 years ago. Victorians visiting in their carriages found it a convenient attraction, and the local farmer responded to this interest by providing stalls for the horses on payment of a toll.
The dramatic views rarely fail to provide a breathtaking experience. The geology of the cliffs and stacks themselves is intriguing and it's easy to visit without realising that there's a history of mining in the area dating back to the 19th century.
Carnewas was a hive of industrial activity in the 19th century although not much is known of the mining that took place there. It is supposed that miners tunnelled into the cliffs from the beach in search of iron, copper and lead. Mining stopped many years ago, but the buildings are a reminder of this industry. The National Trust shop was once the count house or mine office and the café was also converted from mine buildings.
Sometime between them falling asleep and Winston sneezing, the two souls were slowly entering another dimension. That place between reality and a dream where anything was possible.
All their dreams, aspirations and hopes appearing around them as their surroundings begin shifting. From plain, worn out and metallic to mossy, flowers and the smell of the wind.
Perhaps if Winston did not sneeze, they would have been sucked into one of their 'adventures'...
P.S. Had the luxury on my 1 day off to have been invited by a ginger for a photo session! We decided to do our own versions and I adore the variety!

Yvoire, Haute-Savoie, Auvernia-Ródano-Alpes, France.
Yvoire (en francoprovenzal Ivouère) es una comuna y población de Francia, en la región de Auvernia-Ródano-Alpes, departamento de Alta Saboya, en el distrito de Thonon-les-Bains y cantón de Douvaine.
Está integrada en la Communauté de communes du Bas-Chablais.
Se trata de una villa medieval fortificada que se encuentra a orillas del lago Léman, en el extremo norte del cabo situado al oeste del golfo de Coudrée. La creación del señorío de Yvoire se produjo en el siglo XII, si bien las fortificaciones son del siglo XIV, erigidas por orden de Amadeo V de Saboya. Yvoire (in Franco-Provençal Ivouère) is a commune and town in France, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, Haute-Savoie department, in the district of Thonon-les-Bains and canton of Douvaine.
It is part of the Communauté de communes du Bas-Chablais.
It is a medieval fortified town located on the shores of Lake Geneva, at the northern end of the cape located west of the Gulf of Coudrée. The creation of the lordship of Yvoire took place in the 12th century, although the fortifications are from the 14th century, erected by order of Amadeo V of Savoy. Today it is a tourist destination, included in the navigation routes of Lake Geneva, and has received distinctions such as the four flowers of a tourist town or the dedication in 2006 of a stamp by the French postal service.
Due to its beauty and tourist appeal, it is one of the towns classified as Les plus beaux villages de France.
