The Mehndi ceremony was held post lunch. This was one of the most unique Mehndi ceremony that I witnessed, attended only by a group of 10/15 people and lots and lots of celebration and masti. YEs, masti for sure, never ever saw jubilation of this type.... Set amidst the the most natural environment and lush green foliage and a beautiful lawn to play around, I had all the freedom to shoot the way I wanted to.

The SS Independence, towed from her berth in San Francisco last friday morning, the beginning of her last journey. The official word is she's being towed to Singapore for refit, but most say it's the breaker beaches of India for the last (barely) seaworthy '50s American liner.
Decommissioned from island hopping in Hawaii since the collapse of tourism in the wake of 9/11, she's been laid up and left to rust at various locations in the Bay Area for the past 7 years. A ghost ship.

Today we went on a no destination road trip, we just drove around for hours and then we went home. Strangely it was great! Frederikke came with, I told her it was a vacation^_^

I'm already looking forward to the next opportunity to enjoy a show in this amazing venue. Looks like the next big thing is the musical "Chicago" in late January, which I've always wanted to see live. It's also an excuse do some shopping and put together a new outfit, as if I ever need an excuse for that.

We walked and walked, and walked and this was our final destination. We were walking in this beautiful nature for four hours and it was great, clean weather, trees, the river and a bit of cold. And we wanted to go more, well, we were thinking of going to the other station and this is the view of it, you can't see it, but it's near.
As of right now, I don’t have any foreign destination weddings planned for 2013. I did have one penciled in for Morocco but the venue provided a photographer, so I’m sticking around here. And that’s not a bad thing. I’m taking off May and June since our son is due in late May and don’t know what kind of time commitment having a newborn is going to require. Sure I’d love to spend 100% of my time with my new son, but photography also pays a lot of bills, so there has to be a balance.
While Destination Weddings are fun, they don’t typically pay as much as they should. Sure you’re getting to travel somewhere, usually fun and beautiful, but if you think about it, it’s also requiring you to be away from your family and local surroundings for several days. Assuming the couple pays for your flight, hotel and car, you still have to manage food for all those days as well as parking at the airport, etc, etc. Doing a wedding/gig shouldn’t cost the photographer money. And if you’re gone for a Thursday-Sunday, those are all days you’re not able to book any other gigs either. So do you charge them 4 full days? Tough call.
This was Canada last year. As much as I make fun of Canada, I had a pretty good time. This was one of my favorite engagement photos of the year, especially because seconds after taking this, the owner of the property came up and asked why I had two kids in his field of barley. “Why would you want pictures of people kissing in a field of barley?????” and he sped off.
The view out to sea from the 'Don Pedro' hotel, Cala st Vincenc, Mallorca an incredibly spectacular place when the sea is rough!!

Setting off westbound from Cumberland to unknown destinations over and beyond the Appalachians. The new CSX paint was applied very professionally on all of the units that I encountered.
Even though there was sunlight and shadows I don't think that I saw blue sky the entire time that I was in the area. I didn't seem overly hot but it sure was hazy. Thinking back it may have been a forest fire.
I have already arrived at my destination (Bali, Indonesia).
