CI is currently promoting the creation of a business group for Irvine, based upon successful models elsewhere; this is the logo with which we will attempt to sell the founding of such a group. The design incorporates a lower case 'b' with a lower case outline 'i' inset into it; the town's coat of arms is inset into the stem of the 'i'. I designed this cuff for my mum who loves "red" for Christmas - I enjoy using mixed mediums in my work - I can see another one of these on its way!

Images from a visit to a carpet weaving workshop (at Tejidos Zapoteca, studio of Jesus Hernandez & Alicia Vasquez) at Teotitlan del Valle, some distance east of Oaxaca.
The carpets were stunning, beautifully coloured and made using traditional techniques and natural dyes. Far more suited to use as wall hung artworks, they were simply too nice to walk upon!
