«Новослободская» — станция Кольцевой линии Московского метрополитена. Станция открыта 30 января 1952 года. В 1992 году соединена подземным переходом со станцией «Менделеевская», и таким образом стала пересадочной. Конструкция станции — пилонная глубокого заложения (глубина — 40 метров) с тремя сводами. Диаметр центрального зала — 9,5 метра. Название принято по одноимённой улице, в самом начале которой расположена станция.
«Новослободская» – последняя из пяти станций метро, спроектированных Алексеем Николаевичем Душкиным, одним из самых интересных архитекторов периода сталинского ампира. Авторству Душкина принадлежат следующие станций Московского метрополитена — «Кропоткинская» (1935), «Площадь Революции» (1938), «Маяковская» (1938), «Автозаводская» (1943), «Новослободская» (1952).
Самым ярким элементом оформления станции являются 32 эффектно подсвечиваемых витража. Они размещены внутри пилонов и окаймлены сталью и золочёной латунью. Их по два на каждом пилоне, в сторону зала и платформы. Сами витражи были изготовлены в Риге латвийскими художниками, так как в России не было традиции такого оформления окон. При этом использовали стёкла, хранившиеся в кафедральном соборе Риги и предназначавшиеся для костелов.
Освещение станции задумано не только сверху, но и сбоку – через светящиеся витражи. Тарелкообразные люстры не давали много света: по замыслу архитектора Душкина, это должна быть «станция-грот». С февраля по май 2003 года на станции проводилась реставрация витражей, люстр и торцевого панно. К сожалению, при реставрации 2003 года, лампы в люстрах заменили на более мощные, и освещение на станции стало более ярким, что значительно изменило первоначальный замысел архитекторов, стремившихся создать станцию-грот с приглушённым, мягким светом. Сегодня точно такие же люстры можно увидеть на станции «Площадь Восстания» Санкт-Петербургского Метрополитена.

Jamek Mosque (Malay: Masjid Jamek) is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak River. The mosque was designed by Arthur Benison Hubback.
The foundation stone of the mosque was laid by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sir Alaeddin Sulaiman Shah on 23 March 1908, and the Sultan officially opened the mosque on 23 December 1909.

Glory bush, Lasiandra or princess flower (Tibouchina urvilleana), a native of Brazil, grown widely as a garden plant.
The flower has 10 stamens. Five stamens are longer than the others. The pollen is released from a pore at the tip of the anthers which are the clawlike ends of the stamens. The anthers also act as a landing pad for bees which in the wild pollinate the flowers by buzz pollination which involves the bee grabbing onto the flower and moving their flight muscles rapidly, causing the flower and anthers to vibrate, dislodging pollen.
The style and stigma extend beyond the anthers.
