public house restaurant is a delightful mix of old and new. an old fashioned menu is updated with modern takes, and a historic building is updated with a modern addition. the blend of old and new create a delightful atmosphere. this upscale meat and three restaurant located in chattanooga, tennessee maintains a clean environment with the use of white board and batten walls, white booths, and black and white photos. the historic integrity of the building is preserved in the beams, exposed brick wall, and beautiful old windows. hardwood floors transition to the new addition without feeling like you are entering a time warp. warmth in the bar is created with beautifully patinated steel and wood shelving. cke interior design created the warm atmosphere that you see in these pictures.

I designed this traditional kitchen with clean simple lines and a taseful amont of ornamentation. The goal was to create a timeless modern country look.
A mix of high-quality office and client-facing space for this bank in central London. The finished design scheme combines contemporary design with strong branding and pictorial refencing to the bank's country of origin.

I may be wrong, but I think that the lettering is a European variant of Futura, a very popular type design by Paul Renner. Both of my Gebrauchsgraphik copies are set in a standard version of Futura and they are printed letterpress. I can run my hands lightly across the pages and feel the indent. It's hard to imagine a magazine being printed letterpress today.

I did this one in a flat tesselation manner, but musing with a draft of this piece, I found out it can be transformed in a 3-D knit-like pattern.

The somewhat mythological RAC guidelines. These intensely detailed and precise guidelines outline the new RAC identity (also by North) established in 1997.
Things I've come to know or stories I've heard:
— 250 copies were produced
— Printed four colour process with six spot colours and two varnishes
— The guidelines took one year to design and produce
— Without substantial experience in large corporate identity programmes (at the time), North simply 'winged it' throughout the identity development. Although:
— A copy of the BMW corporate design guidelines by Zintzmeyer & Lux acted as a primary design reference
— As an example of the rigour undertaken for the programme, tests of the hi-vis clothing designs were conducted by North on a hard shoulder of a highway in wet and windy, low visibility conditions
An annual report for Times Square Alliance designed by Daniela Koenn, studio Worldstudio, art director Mark Randall, photographers Marcel Homung, Nelson Bakeman 2002, using Akzidenz Grotesk. From 30 Essential Typefaces for a Lifetime edited and curated by Imin Pao and Joshua Berger.

My brother and I had a design studio in the past, and I did all of the Celtics promotional work for several years through our client SportsChannel of New England. Paul Freehauf (Eagle Rock Entertainment) was the Creative Director there and we did all the design and production. I also designed the Boston Celtics' Sixth Player trophy that was sponsored through Texaco. It was retired after Reggie Lewis was awarded it. There is more info in the first comment too if you like. I also did many of the commercials for MVP sports at the time. The Johnny Most announcement in that Top 10 qwikLoadr link was used on one in particular. The Bird's Back poster in the first comment was created when Larry Bird came back early from injury, and given out at the game. The World Championship poster from 1986 was also given out at the first Boston Garden game of the 1986-1987 season. SportsChannel had no budget for the poster, so the folks who worked on it received credit on the poster, as well as 150 limited prints. The plates were destroyed once the printing was complete. Mark Burton of Boston, Massachusetts was the official printer, and that is their logo bottom left on the poster.

El stand y toda la imágen gráfica fue diseñada y elaborada por mi hija Eva, el árbol está ejecutado en tuberÃa de plástico en el cual colgamos todas las pulseras. The Stand and all the graphics were designed by my daughter Eva, the tree is made with plastic pipes, with all the identations and holes to support the bracelets.
