Voldemort, in the last movie, when Harry sacrificed himself. And Voldemort tried to kill him with the killing curse. Harry went to the in between place, where he spoke to the head master for the last time. There was this THING under a bench. This is that piece of soul from Voldemort that was ripped out of Harry. The somewhat mythological RAC guidelines. These intensely detailed and precise guidelines outline the new RAC identity (also by North) established in 1997.
Things I've come to know or stories I've heard:
— 250 copies were produced
— Printed four colour process with six spot colours and two varnishes
— The guidelines took one year to design and produce
— Without substantial experience in large corporate identity programmes (at the time), North simply 'winged it' throughout the identity development. Although:
— A copy of the BMW corporate design guidelines by Zintzmeyer & Lux acted as a primary design reference
— As an example of the rigour undertaken for the programme, tests of the hi-vis clothing designs were conducted by North on a hard shoulder of a highway in wet and windy, low visibility conditions

Nowadays, we continually share data: a message via WhatsApp, a picture on Instagram, an update on Facebook or an e-mail through Gmail. With whom do we really share this data? And how can we make sure that our personal data stay strictly personal?
This exhibition addresses issues of online privacy and digital surveillance. Next to several historical examples of encrypting, ‘Design my Privacy’ also shows some surprising contemporary strategies by more than 35 young designers and artists to maintain control over our data.
With work by Roel Roscam Abbing, Zineb Benassarou & Jorick De Quaasteniet, Josh Begley, Dennis de Bel, Caitlin Berner & Jana Blom, Heath Bunting, F.A.T., Giada Fiorindi, Front 404, Roos Groothuizen, Arantxa Gonlag & Eva Maria Martinez Rey, Monika Grūzīte, Rafaël Henneberke, Jan Huijben, Daniel C. Based on a Learner profile, we looked at learner experience strategies when faced with difficulties in language processing, visual-spatial- non-verbal processing, and maintaining attention.
The big take away for me (something I had never understood before) was that when someone is not paying attention (attention deficit) it is because their neurons are not firing fully to create enough feel good chemicals (dopamine, neuroepinephrine) and so they need to attend to something else to stimulate their brains. Executive function is controlled by the cerebral cortex, which is not fully developed until about 25 years of age (sometimes longer in males). This is considered a lot in K12 but not so much in university- but the average age of a university student is 18 but their executive functions are still maturing!

1. கோலம் - Kolam is the artistic design (rice powder) you see in the picture above which is laid as food for birds and insects around a house - A tradition followed since ancient ages. Usually they clean the floor or the ground below before drawing the Kolam which is done for cleanliness. Usually they do the cleaning with water mixed with cow dung which is an antibiotic (for cleanliness - anyone comes in your house will have clean feet.)
2. திண்ணை - The first picture below is called Thinnai which is built with each & every Dravidian house. The purpose being a rest place for travelers who pass by your house.
3. முன் கதவு - The second picture below is the front door of a typical Dravidian house.
4. முன் வாசல் - The third picture below is "Mun vaasal" and the air gap above is left for air circulation and rain water to come in. The ceiling is generally called "Vittam" (விட்டம்)
5. பின் வாசல் - The 4th picture below is the "Pin vaasal" usually used to clean vessels and of-course for air circulation and letting in rain water.
6. பூஜை பாத்திரங்கள் - The 5th picture below - vessels for prayer
