Delicate Arch in Arches National Park as the sun is fading away. Getting back down the hill after taking these sunset photos was a task. luckily I had my headlamp on and the two other photographers up there had flashlights.
From the Balloon. An interesting, to me, view of the the area east of delicate arch.
Including the rock wall that falls away as the area under it undercuts it.
Indri and I celebrated a small renovation job in my apartment with a delicate display of delectable desserts.
real growth happens on the inside,
in places where few will really know,
but those we are kind enough and love enough
will find the delicate growth.
the little tendrils within our soul.
those little subtle changes
in our attitude and will.
there is One who sees every tender part of us,
and each time we yield our selves,
His smile is like the new dawn.

No, the chimney of Knapp's castle.
Knapp's Castle is a landmark ruined mansion in the Santa Ynez Mountains near Santa Barbara, California. Located near East Camino Cielo in the Los Padres National Forest, the ridge-top site has a panoramic view of Santa Barbara and the California Channel Islands. It is a popular destination for hikers and photographers and is also the meeting place of a group of drummers and dancers on every full moon.
History
George Owen Knapp, founder of Union Carbide, built Knapp's Castle shortly after purchasing the 160-acre (0.65 km²) parcel in 1916. In 1940, Frances Holden bought the property and invited her friend, world-famous opera singer Lotte Lehmann, to move in. The mansion was destroyed by a forest fire only five weeks later, and now only the massive sandstone foundations, fireplace pillars and walls of the original seven structures remain intact.

Delicate Arch, Arches National Monument, Utah
"This is the most beautiful place on earth. There are many such places. Every man, every woman, carries in heart and mind the image of the ideal place, the right place, the one true home, known or unknown, actual or visionary.
For myself I'll take Moab, Utah. I don't mean the town itself, of course, but the country which surrounds it–the canyonlands. The slickrock desert. The red dust and the burnt cliffs and the lonely sky–all that which lies beyond the end of the roads."

I couldn't be there for sunset, so I brought the sun up with me.
This was my first effort at photoshop.

That's Delicate Arch off in the distance. I would have liked to hike up to the closer viewpoint, but after a hot eight-mile hike through Devil's Garden I just wasn't up to it.

(ADAD 2015 October - 21: Delicate)
This dress is made from extremely delicate cotton, with hand dyed cotton french lace at the neck and arms, and cotton lace edging the bottom. The three bows at the neck and sleeves are made from silk ribbon and silk thread. The dress fits all 1:6 sizes pretty well.
This is actually my favorite of the dresses I made for this collection!
My neighbor two doors down the street saw me with my camera this morning and invited me in to her lovely garden for a photo opportunity. She doesn't recall the name of this poppy (another neighborhood gardener gave her seeds years ago) but it is certainly lovely! I've asked her to save some seeds for me this year so that I can try to get it started in my garden.
Normally, summer heat would have already ended the blooming cycle for this poppy... but all the rain and cooler weather we've had this spring has kept it still blooming. View large on black to fully appreciate the delicate petals.
Of course one of many Delicate Arches shots. But this one was mine and it came with the experience and quitte a hike ;-)
I found this angle to be very nice due to the little peak that you can see in the centre of the arch.
Most wonderful spot and a wonder of nature if you would ask me...
The light and resulting colors in the late afternoon are almost surreal.
