Taken by rotating my tripod 90 degrees to the left of the previous shot in my photostream - Delicate Arch is a circus at sunset. Which is perhaps a little surprising given the rather strenous climb in the afternoon sun to reach the plateau on which it is located. Most people were well behaved, but there must be serious accidents here on a regular basis since just to the right of this shot is a 20 metre vertical drop onto rock. Not a survivable fall, yet people with tripods were hopping around like Mountain Goats after a course in self-confidence.
Dainty mushrooms have been appearing overnight in my lawn. They live for only a few hours before shriveling in 95 degree Georgia heat. Today's crop was a single, delicate volunteer, with cap about the size of a quarter. August, Fortson.
Highlight of our Southwest geology tour, the sunset at Delicate Arch is worth the wait.
The fact that you will be joined by a crowd turns the arch into a kind of natural shrine. A truly centering and uplifting experience.

Delicate Arch in Arches National Park in Utah
We went on an early morning hike up to delicate Arch, it was nice seeing it with not too many people. It was a beautiful hike a great place to relax for awhile.

My Delicate Flower by Justin Gildow
I love you
I love you so much
You're the reason for me being so happy
You're the reason I feel so blessed
My love
You're my delicate flower
Just let me love you
Just let me take care of you
You and I can count the stars
Or we can frolic in the grass hills
My love
My delicate flower
Let's enjoy our time together
Rolling down the hill in each others arms
Like birds of a feather
I'm not sure how things the way they are can get any better
Let's lay down beside each other in the flower garden
Just let things settle in where they are
Happiness won't be much too far
I love you
I love you so much
My delicate flower
This one is post-photoshop and the other is pre-photoshop. I used two florabella textures on this photo. I loved the other one so much that I couldn't leave it out though so I hope you enjoy the both of them!
Please no flash/picture comments or multiple invites. I value your opinion so please leave your honest opinion and leave the flash comments out! Thanks
An unusual flower that I have that comes every year, the leaves are similar to a geranium and pale in colour, but then now, July, it shoots out these long flowers which are white and pink tinged on the egdes, if anyone knows what it is....?

Delicate Arch is a 65-foot (20 m) tall[1] freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.
It is the most widely-recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is depicted on Utah license plates and on a postage stamp commemorating Utah's centennial anniversary of statehood in 1996. The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch(source: wikipedia)
Delicate Arch, in Arches National Park, Utah. Taken a couple of hours before sunset - the sun was quite low.

Personally, I think the leaf is astonishing when viewed large. Take a look if you have the time. Taken at Anderson Gardens in Rockford.
Interestingness: Made it to #305 in Explore on October 3, 2007. Thanks everyone!
Delicate Arch is formed of Entrada Sandstone. The original sandstone fin was gradually worn away by weathering and erosion, eventually leaving the arch.
I don't believe this !!!!!

These lovely little lantern-like blooms are of a tree call Arbutus and I shot these at Longwood Gardens.

This is a treasury that I created on Etsy. The theme is "Delicate Angelic White," and are some of the items that I found eye-catching and would love to have.

I wanted to take a photograph of Delicate Arch but I wanted to do something a little different from the usual angle that people use and this is the result. I had to use a little patience and wait for people to vacate the arch itself. It sure is a popular destination!
As always, if you like the image, please let me know why. Helpful suggestions are always welcome.
Delicate Arch, in Arches National Park, just outside Moab, Utah, might be Utah's most famous icon. If you want to view it with any semblance of tranquility, try to avoid the summer months.
Delicate Arch at Sunset. I'm on the down slope behind the arch looking up.

Another look at Delicate, this time from a different angle. We were a little off the usual trail but as usual, we left no trace :^)

After our exploration in the Fiery Furnace, we hoofed it up to Delicate Arch. We've been there a fair few times but not so often that it isn't still a treat. This time was not much different - a couple of new photo angles and different people posing under the arch but I still had to get the old standby photos because the autumn light was so bold and pretty.
