Arches National Park is a national park in eastern Utah, United States. The park is adjacent to the Colorado River, 4 miles (6 km) north of Moab, Utah. More than 2,000 natural sandstone arches are located in the park, including the well-known Delicate Arch, as well as a variety of unique geological resources and formations. The park contains the highest density of natural arches in the world.

The park consists of 76,679 acres (119.811 sq mi; 31,031 ha; 310.31 km2) of high desert located on the Colorado Plateau. The highest elevation in the park is 5,653 feet (1,723 m) at Elephant Butte, and the lowest elevation is 4,085 feet (1,245 m) at the visitor center. The park receives an average of less than 10 inches (250 mm) of rain annually.

Administered by the National Park Service, the area was originally named a national monument on April 12, 1929, and was redesignated as a national park on November 12, 1971. The park received more than 1.6 million visitors in 2018.

Of course one of many Delicate Arches shots. But this one was mine and it came with the experience and quitte a hike ;-)

I found this angle to be very nice due to the little peak that you can see in the centre of the arch.

Most wonderful spot and a wonder of nature if you would ask me...

The light and resulting colors in the late afternoon are almost surreal.

A little perspective on the delicate arch! Tiny little person under the arch

View On Black

This is North Clear Creek Falls on a cloudy afternoon in mid-September using a long exposure to smooth out the raw power of the waterfall into something that looks more delicate. Cascading about 100ft, North Clear Creek is actually closed to the public right now due to construction work on the viewing area above the falls.

the colors remind me of a dream.

So very delicate. An absolute marvel.

this flower was so delicate that the sunlight could pass through it and I could try out to see what lies inside it. Hey guys doesn't it look the same when we open our mouth wide open

Ever have one of those days when everything looks great straight out of the camera? Today was one of those days. Did my usual setting of white/black points and walked away.

Not a great one but posting this just to prove that i have been there :-) After rain gods spoiled my attempt to photograph Natural Bridges National Monument, i headed towards Arches National Park in anticipation to shoot some great pictures of Delicate arch during sunset. Had grand plans to shoot Milky way against the Arch as well.

3 hour drive and 1 hour hike to the Arch did not change anything in terms of Weather. I was hanging in there expecting that miracle light to fall on Arch but to my disappointment the situation got worse. It started raining and it became troublesome even to navigate around the steep slope in front of the Arch. I think the name, Delicate Arch is not about the Arch but how delicately you have to handle your movements.

Delicate Arch - Arches

I have no idea what the name of these flowers are? They looked so vulnerable in the garden.
