Went to grab fresh parsley from a friend's garden and saw it flowering...
That reminded me of a qoute from Rachel Carson, a biologist, an environmentalist and a writer, "Some of nature's most exquisite handiwork is on a miniature scale, as anyone knows who has applied a magnifying glass to a snowflake."
... and in this case a parslay plant.

Amazing how we all want this life a little more everyday.
It's crazy how we pick ourselves up just to let us down anyway.
The one thing that you're missing is loungin' on the log right next to you.
So pick up that precious something and relax for a delicate few.
Hearts that are delicate and kind and tongues that are neither - these make the finest company in the world. ~Logan
The best thing about this picture is that I took it at Wal-Mart. I walked out with this image for free, now that is a bargain.

Some things in the world are beautiful, that includes butterflies, my girlfriend and a good nights sleep. I'm hopefully off to get the latter right now as it is my first day as an Associate Editor tomorrow! Wish me luck everybody.
Thanks for all your lovely comments and faves recently, I really appreciate them as I have been not too pleased with my photography lately. I have enjoyed my last couple of uploads, so I am glad you guys did too.
I will get back to all your streams as soon as I can.
You'll be seeing a lot of the delicate Delicate Arch in the next few days so sit back and prepare to see a few minutes pass here and there... This was just a few minutes after sunrise - for those keeping track.

Delicate Arch;
Der Delicate Arch ist wohl nicht nur der berühmteste Natursteinbogen der USA, sondern auch der wohl meist fotografierteste. Er befindet sich im Arches National Park unweit der sehr netten Stadt Moab im Bundesstaat Utah.

Day 106/111 - November 17, 2009 - Arches National Park, Utah
It is a 1.5-mile hike from the parking area near Wolfe Ranch up to Delicate Arch. When you round that last corner and see the arch, WOW! It is much bigger than you think. It is simply one of the best spots anywhere.
This time, I decided to go over to the arch (when the other 10 people were over there). It is less than impressive (actually quite ugly and looks unstable) from the side. In my opinion, the view from the front is so wonderful, it isn't worth getting a single shot from any other perspective. Take a few shots from this perspective, take a seat, and enjoy one of the best views in America!
Delicate Arch in Arches National Park, Utah
The world famous "Delicate" arch in Arches National Park. It really took and hdr to get any of the detail in the shadow areas. I hope the hdr helps to allow the light to sculpture the rock.
This view is from the opposite side (across a valley), and in that regard is unusual.

this was part of a collaboration i did with Andrea Piepe. we wanted to pick a common theme for our photos; we decided on "shadows"
normally, when i create a photo around a theme like shadows, the photos turn our a bit dark and distorted and somber. . . however, i wanted to turn this theme upside-down this time and expose the beauty of shadows.
we all have our little secrets and dark places, but they don't make us monsters ! they make us vulnerable and delicate and beautiful ! that is what i wanted to emote.
