I have no idea what kind of flower these are but they were found in the forested areas near Spruce Bog at Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. I loved the delicate flowers and how tiny they were. It was like finding a little gem stone on my walk. via 500px ift.tt/2wv98oK
Delicate Arch
Arches National Park, Utah, USA
I had driven about 1000 miles from Kansas City to Moab in one day. My intent was to get some dusk and/or star shots of delicate arch, but I got in late, and I was not feeling well, so I did not get any shots that evening. I got up early the next morning (still not feeling well) and slogged up the 'trail' to delicate arch. While not as impressive as other shots I've seen, I'm glad I made the effort to get up early for the morning light.

As You all should know; today is an important day for the moon and mercury. Donna and I have been to Delicate several times for the full moon, and love it. She suggested we go, and it also has the significance of our first weekend out together in over 1/2 year. (Please pay attention.) Well, the visibility was not primo, but Donna did make it up and back in fine form, in not so good conditions. So we celebrated that.

I wanted to start this year off by saying Thank You so very, very much to you all, my friends; I know I have been very busy these last 6 months and not able to visit your photostreams as often as I would like to, but it truly means the world to me that you have all continued to support and encourage me and my work. You are all amazing friends and you make my smile every day with your kind comments on my photos!
That being said, I swear to you all I will make more time to visit your wonderful photos and leave my feedback on them, after all, it is only fair!

This was another one from the summer archives; taken on my birthday, June 28th, the same day I purchased my 60D, in a front lawn flower garden in my neighborhood.

On my first trip in USA, with a friend we were doing some agricultural work in a peache farm somewhere in Colorado. The owners were kind enough to share an old 4wheel toyota so we had the chance to take a Sunday trip right to Utah.
After a quick stop trough Moab, we went straight to Arches NP. There we decided to take a walk to Delicate Arche not knowing what awaits us. After a hike that felt like ages, we arrived at a small path that run along a cliff and to our right: a big wall. I saw a hole in that wall and I finally climb trough it.
After some efforts, I took step on a small cove with an astoning view of the place you are about to see in the attached picture. Silenced by the marvellous scene, I hadn’t noticed that I wasn’t alone. Sitting close to me was somekind of hippie dude smoking pot. He stared at me, smiled and asked “Wanna join me?”. So I just sat there, watched the sunset go down and smoke with this weird-unknow guy.
From that moment, I decided I would always come to this place if the possibility was offered to me. So there I’m, I’ve been in USA 5 times since and everytime I’ve been able (3 on 5), I’ve found myself looking at this same wonderfull view.
Anyway, long story short: If you ever planned, sooner or latter, to travel to USA… make damn sure you don’t miss this place!

One more shot of Delicate Arch. This one with some people standing under it for a sense of scale. Getting under the arch is no small task. It stands at the edge of an immense slickrock bowl. The edge gets ever steeper the further into the bowl you go. Getting over to where the couple is posing requires some sticky shoes and complete focus on what you are doing. I thought sure I was going to witness the death of a couple of people who got themselves pretty far down the side of the bowl. One girl was starting to slip as the edge went near vertical, but somehow managed to get back up to the shallower part. I stayed firmly planted on the rim. I could have gotten a much better photo (the mountains framed perfectly in the arch like I've seen on so many postcards) if I had ventured into the bowl. I wanted to live to tell about it. I wonder how many people have gotten trapped too far in or worse.

I adore soft and feminine photography, digitally captured but with a film quality about it. This is beauty in it's rawest form.
Delicate Arch in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah. This was taken from a vista point about 1/2 mile away. Looks like a good place to hang a swing.
Delicate Arch is a 65-foot (20 m) tall freestanding natural arch located in Arches National Park near Moab, Utah, United States. It is the most widely-recognized landmark in Arches National Park and is depicted on Utah license plates and on a postage stamp commemorating Utah's centennial anniversary of statehood in 1996. The Olympic torch relay for the 2002 Winter Olympics passed through the arch. Delicate Arch is formed of Entrada Sandstone. The original sandstone fin was gradually worn away by weathering and erosion, leaving the arch. Other arches in the park were formed the same way but due to placement and less dramatic shape are not as famous. (Wikipedia)
