While out photographing Red-winged Blackbirds, this Egret came in for a landing directly in front me, albeit at a considerable distance. I was impressed at just how slender it was and how easily one can see the wing's bone structure through all those feathers.

As I searched my thoughts for a title for this image, it struck me that the falling snow and shifting colors gave this photo a textured and painterly feeling... Delicate is the first word that came to mind.

Just before reaching Delicate Arch, the sky lit up with a fabulous orange glow. We were trying to get to Delicate Arch before the prime golden hour light but we missed getting there by about 5 minutes. The scene here is the last bit of the trail before the view of Delicate Arch opens up to the right

This Rose bush had pink flowers but some were almost white. I like their delicate petals; a change from the large roses.

These beautiful bushes were flowering the last few weeks - so delicate and beautiful

This is at Arches National Park. This huge arch is also know by such names as Dutchman's pants, which seems more descriptive to me. If you look carefully you can see tiny people on the left. There was a good sized canyon between me and the arch.
