More snowflake macros - this one was shot on a fur hat that I have! The fur seemed to catch some good flakes! One of the challenges of shooting snowflakes was the wind! It was blowing everything away as soon as it landed!
Thistle seeds carried on the breeze get snagged by the fine stinging hairs of a flowering Common Nettle

The gentle delicate way this branch hung with its lovely still green leaves was a lovely sight against the complexity of the firs
Lighted up by the gentle warmth of the morning sun filtering through the fragile petals.
Where there is shadow, there is also light.
May we all find zest and light in the small moments of our everyday lives.

The iconic Delicate Arch is a great spot for sunset. We never really got a super sunset, but I like the Sunstar on this one.
the delicate poppy that is sagged by the heaviness of the raindrops, looks like a woman's soft skirt
The Long-tailed Sylph (Aglaiocercus kingii) is a breathtaking sight in the cloud forests of Cañon del Combeima, Tolima, Colombia. This photograph captures a striking male, its iridescent emerald green plumage and remarkably long tail feathers standing out against the lush backdrop. Shot at an altitude of 2627 meters, the image benefits from the soft, diffused light typical of the cloud forest, enhancing the bird's vibrant colors. The composition focuses on the Sylph's delicate balance on a flowering plant, highlighting the grace and beauty of this unique hummingbird.
As a bird photographer dedicated to conservation, capturing this moment was both a challenge and a privilege. The long tail feathers required careful framing to ensure they were fully showcased, and the ever-changing light conditions demanded precise camera settings. This image is a testament to the patience and dedication needed to photograph such elusive and magnificent creatures. Sharing this moment allows for a deeper appreciation of both the technical aspects of wildlife photography and the critical importance of conserving these natural habitats.

These are the same flowers I photographed yesterday, but today I switched the camera's white balance to "Tungsten," and this resulted in a lighter, truer pink. With a warm-colour LED bulb overhead.
Tried my hand at snowflake photography yesterday. I laid a blanket out on a table outside for them to land on. There weren't many whole snowflakes but found a few. This was one. I'll be trying some more in the future.
I hope everyone enjoys this image! :D
For some reason these flowers have a second life. All flowers were gone and now they are blooming again
