This was one of my favorites as well!
As you know, with mirrorless cameras, getting flight shots is tough with a busy background. In the Z9 firmware update 4.0, they added a feature called Auto Capture. I tried it out yesterday. All you do is set up a tripod, enter some parameters for the shot you want, activate the program and walk away. The camera looks for any combination of settings and takes shots on its own. This one was set up for motion in a defined area of the frame. Lets say, it worked great.

"94-Millionen-Bank-Neubau liegt im Plan

Die Schönheit der sandtonfarbenen Fassade mit den bodentiefen Fenstern liegt nicht nur im Auge des Betrachters, sondern auch an äußeren Faktoren. „Je nachdem, welches Licht darauf fällt, wirkt der Architekturbeton unterschiedlich“, schwärmte Stenger. Nachts soll die Fassade angestrahlt werden. Von oben sehen die drei Gebäudeteile mit ihren fünf beziehungsweise sechs Geschossen wie drei riesige „U“ aus. Sie gruppieren sich um das Herzstück, das 200 Quadratmeter große Sommerfoyer im Innenhof. Wichtig wird auch der Konferenzbereich, der Platz für interne und externe Veranstaltungen mit bis zu 600 Teilnehmern bietet. Die Mitarbeiter können neben ihren Büros auch „Meeting Points“ in den breiten Fluren nutzen, um sich auszutauschen und Besprechungen abzuhalten. Das Ziel: Eine offene Bürostruktur, die sich positiv auf die Arbeitszufriedenheit auswirken soll. Den Umzug werden die Mitarbeiter mit leichtem Möbel-Gepäck antreten. Weil es im Neubau auch neue – ergonomisch höhenverstellbare – Tische und Schränke gibt, wandern nur Bürosessel in die Umzugswagen. Tillmann Stenger nimmt ein einziges Stück mit: Einen Karl-Marx-Kopf, den er von seinem Vorgänger übernommen und ins Eck gestellt hatte. Jetzt darf der Kapitalismuskritiker mit übersiedeln."

The Point Loma Tide Pools are located at the tip of Point Loma, a steep rocky peninsula which defines San Diego Bay and separates it from the Pacific Ocean. The tide pools face west and on a clear day, you can see the Coronado Islands and sail boats.
The image you see is actually three separate images woven together using Photoshop cs5. Ones of a beautiful beach near my old home, the other my new home, the city (the other is the star trail). The image portrays two different worlds and two different homes to me.

These little brown jobs have almost no defining features other than the song. Very rare to see them, always deep in cover. So pleased to get this much of him.
Walburgiskapelle Weschnitz - Erntedank oder privates Thanksgiving?
Die Walburgiskapelle befindet sich im Wald auf dem Kahlberg, einer historischen Stelle, an der Kaiser Karl der Große im Jahr 795 die Grenzen seines Reiches und die der Mark Heppenheim festlegte.
Schon im 16 Jh. ist an diesem Platz eine Kapelle nachgewiesen - wann sie erstmals gebaut wurde, weiß man nicht.
Die Kapelle ist der heiligen Walburga geweiht, die eine Nichte des Missionars Bonifatius gewesen sein soll. Manche glauben, der Platz könnte zuvor ein keltisches und germanisches Bergheiligtum gewesen sein. In der Tat widmeten christliche Missionare oft heidnische Kultplätze um, statt sie zu zerstören.
Für die Kelten-These spricht, dass man Reste von Erzbergbau gefunden hat, den schon die Kelten betrieben.
Auch heute noch finden Wallfahrten zu dieser Kapelle statt - ein magischer Platz mit einer fantastischen Aussicht.
The Walburgis Chapel is located in the forest on the Kahlberg, a historical spot where Emperor Charlemagne defined the borders of his empire and the Mark Heppenheim in 795.
There is evidence of a chapel on this site as early as the 16th century - no one knows when it was first built.
The chapel is dedicated to St. Walburga, who is said to have been a niece of the missionary Boniface. Some believe the site may have previously been a Celtic and Germanic mountain sanctuary. Indeed, Christian missionaries often rededicated pagan places of worship rather than destroying them.
The Celtic thesis is supported by the fact that remains of ore mining, which the Celts already operated, have been found.
Pilgrimages to this chapel still take place today - a magical place with a fantastic view.
I have often wondered if anyone reads the context to the photos posted on Flickr.
I have definitely had defining moments in my life that has made me who I am, those moments that make you glad to be alive, doing something and looking back without any regrets. This song for me is about wanting to be loved, it's about wanting time to never end, loving someone and being loved back.
It's about trust, companionship and closeness, and reaching out to those around you, and how that can just make you feel like you “just don't care” — “the thunder before the lightning” represents the seconds of doubt/worry before a defining moment and just having the guts to do it — “there you are sitting in my garden, clutching my coffee, calling me sugar” for me, represents that after taking the risk to reach out to someone, they may reach out to you too, and become part of your life, like you had never been apart, and now they are casually sitting in your garden sharing your coffee. This song makes you think twice about everyone around you and how much they mean to you in the past and present.

This thunderstorm was becoming more defined as it strengthened.
National Weather Service had a severe warning on this cell as it was slowly moving to the east northeast. As we were east of Minden Nebraska and were finally able to pull out ahead of this cell.
We paused for a few minutes to absorb the moment!
