Do you see Vulnerability or Defiance?
Today is officially something different Friday? :-) So something different from me. I would like to do more shots like these but if I'm honest I found "the body" quite hard a subject to shoot. It belongs together with my other image "Victim or Predator". I hope you like it.
And TFI Friday :-)
EXPLORE FRONT PAGE Wahooo, I can't believe it, I really can't believe it.

Shortly after the buzzard landed on the chimney in the previous photo, it was chased off by a couple of smaller birds and It landed on this pole. All I had to do was turn around 180° to take this picture.
False-color infrared.
This stretch along the River Thames proves very popular with canal boat owners. As the cold sets in it seems everyone has moved on apart from this one defiant owner.
This lone tree is found in rough pasture alongside the River Tees between Bowlees and High Force in County Durham. It is mostly ignored by the multitudes using the footpath to the famous waterfall. On a day like this it stands proud, whilst High Force itself is in deep shadow. The long distance Pennine Way passes this point.

On outdoor display at Cosford, 2018. I believe this was the first time this machine had been on external display since the RAF's 50th Anniversary event at Abingdon in 1968.

Here is a quote from Norman Mailer that came across my desk this morning and one that provoked a pleasant series of thoughts.
"With the pride of the artist, you must blow against the walls of every power that exists the small trumpet of your defiance."

Lone remnant Red Gum near the old Port Augusta to Leigh Creek rail line. This one several kilometres south of Parachilna.
A busy day of zero railway photography came good for me in the evening when I spotted 4S44 had departed Daventry 218L. It was worth going for as the sun found a gap in the clouds as 'Big Cat' 68005 'Defiant' charged north, by this time four hours down.

68002 'Intrepid' sits in Line B (U&DG) as 68005 'Defiant' arrives into Carlisle with Pathfinder Tours' Six Nations Rugby Supporters Special from Camarthen - Edinburgh (1Z68). 005 was taken off in the station, with 002 taking over for the leg to Edinburgh.
Just having some fun! I combined 2 pictures together..
They really were on the same clothesline, but about ten feet apart.
The defiant Westie is fearless in challenging the headless horseman on Halloween night.
Prompt: Ultra-realistic digital fine art in vertical aspect ratio. A dramatic Halloween night scene in a moon lit, eerie forest with twisted, barren trees. The Headless Horseman rides a powerful black steed with red glowing eyes, galloping through the mist. In his hand, he holds a fiery, glowing jack-o’-lantern, its carved grin blazing with orange light. Around them, dozens of sinister jack-o’-lanterns line the ground, casting flickering light across the forest floor. Beside the horse, a lively white West Highland Terrier is barking in defiance and fearlessly at the Headless Horseman, illuminated by the glow of the pumpkins. Westie back to the viewer. The atmosphere is haunting yet dynamic, filled with motion, shadows, and an ominous Halloween energy. Style: Ultra-realistic digital fine art, cinematic fantasy
